I have used Hawk Bullets for several, years they are really dead soft jacket with soft lead core usually heavy for caliber bullets. I have had tremendous success with them Ina number of calibers on game great expansion and weight retention. So I called and asked if they could make some 200 grain soft jacket FP with the .025" jacket and being the small responsive company they are they quoted me a 150 pc price and  soon I will have a bunch to test with.  If these bullets performs like the other calibers it should be an awesome hunting bullet.

If that all goes well I believe I'll put in an order myself.  If it's no bother I would like to see some close up pics of them.  Did they suggest a time frame when you will receive them?
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

I didn't ask but generally within a couple of weeks..........usually.

When I get them I will get some macro pics and post them I will also share load data velocity and hillbilly wet newsprint tests comparing to 200 grain WFN Hardcast.

I can tell you if these perform anything like the 475 or 30 caliber we should have real winner.

My plan is to use my Longslide on Elk this fall. This bullet should be great if it performs like the other Hawk bullets I have used in the past on game.

I upped my order to 250 bullets so if anyone is doing testing in gelatin I can spare a few for results and pics.

Got word today these bullets with special thinner jacket will be to me next week. The expansion should be excellent My plan is to load over Longshot then chronograph them and then do some wet pack comparative testing along side 200 grain WFN.

Sweet!  I was beginning to wonder.  I'm very curious to see pics of the bullets.

Looks like they will be constructed with pure lead with .012" jacket. So I would expect good weight retention but am curious as to the penetration.

I'm also now curious what the jacket thicknesses of the offerings by Hornady, Nosler, Speer, and Sierra.  I know there would be nothing apples to apples about it, still I'ld like to know.

Yes indeed I will compare performance in wet pack with proven rounds from a few other guns.

I think it would perform on elk at 40 yards and under. With well placed shot.
