Got bored last night and started looking around at some ammo I had and saw the SW40 Black Talon 180gr HP and Hydro-Shok 180 gr HP (with the little post in the middle). I am going to take the bullets out of the 40SW cases and load them to 1270-1300 fps in my 10MM and see what they do in wetpack.
Also found some 410- 210gr Nosler HP and sized them down to .406 and then .400. Will see how they shoot this weekend in wetpack at 1200 fps (velocity might not be high enough to get good expansion).

That will be a fun experiment.  Looking forward to hear how the Talon does as well as the re-sized .410's.

REDLINE

I'm definitely interested in seeing the results. 8)
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Only a bit of experience here with the Winchester Black Talon 40S&W, perhaps 500 or so rds. But I can say that I personally have shot well over 3K of the 10MM Winchester Black Talon factory loads from multiple 10MM platforms. For a subsonic round it never failed me in regards to any four leg critter I poked it with, additionally it was always more accurate than myself when punching paper or destroying zombie mellons or can goods. Other than the "cool looking" factor of recovered projectiles and the BS hype the press and some so called medical professionals tried to potray in the lame stream media I personally found it to be a average to decent performing projectile with a amazing advertiszing /promotional campaing behind it. BTW for those that feel they must own the mythical death ray loading from Winchester, AKA the 10MM Black Talon, I still have a case or so I will sell for $100.00 per twenty rds. Just kidding, they are not for sale as there are far better rds in every caliber these days and I am keeping the last couple of cases to help pay for my meds once Obama care fully kicks in. :D
Married to my best friend who is a true life saving hero, and father to two amazing adult children.

I posted the 10MM wetpack results in the 10MM reloading forum.
The BT came apart at 10MM velocities (1300 fps).
