Figured we should start a thread for introductions so the board doesn't get cluttered with a million intros.

I was a Gunner's Mate in the Navy for 10 years. The first 3 years I was a gun mount captain of the Mark 75 gun mount on a Frigate, then 4 years as a 5 inch gun mount captain on a destroyer. I then did 3 years as a military police officer at NAS Whidbey Island. I mostly worked in the armory though since I was a gunner. So I have experience in many weapons from small arms up to Tomahawk Missiles.

I love 10mm's. It has been my favorite cartridge for 15 years. I started with a S&W 1006. I have a few Witness 10mm's and a Delta Elite. Looking at maybe getting a Glock 20 here soon.

So, welcome to the site. I'm happy with the progress so far. I will be spreading the word via Facebook and posting on other gun sites to get more members over the coming weeks.

Where to start.  Real name is Mitch, unless you are my mom to whom I am forever Mitchell.

I am a software engineer/data architect by trade.  Started writing software when I was about 10 years old, and made a real career out of it starting about 15 years ago.  I am NOT much of a graphic designer, so web is defnitely not my forte.  I spend most of my time managing large data warehouses.

I am 41 years old.  I was born in the lone star state, raised in the midwest cruising Wabash Avenue as a teen.  I now live in the mountain west.

I have been in love with the 10mm since I read a pre-release article about the Bren Ten when I was about 12.  I convinced my college roommate to buy a Delta Elite when I was 18 and he was 22 yielding my first experience shooting the cartridge.  I got my own about 4 years later.  The winding road of life necessitated selling most of my guns to maintain financial solvency during the start of my married life.

I jumped back in a few years ago with both feet.  I now have three 10's, and am always looking for another.  I am also becoming a fan of WW II battle rifles.  I have two M1 Garands, four Mosin Nagants and a Carcano.  Looking for the right deals on a Lee-Enfield and a Mauser.

I also cast my own boolits as well as reload.  Locally I have become something of the lead guy.  I bought and resold about 12,000 lbs last year, mostly recycling medical scrap lead.

I am happy too see this site, and hope it gets some traction.

Edit:

Thought I would add a picture of my EDC.  Para Ordnance P16-40/10mm with an Ed Brown high ride, aluminum trigger and mag release, EGW flat bottom firing pin stop, 25 lb mainspring and 23 lb recoil spring.  Triple K magazines are advertised as 16, but they hold 17.  The +1 gives me 18 shots on tap.

Hey guys, my name is Rick, I am from the restricted state of Massachusetts. I am 25 years old and I am a union Ironworker.

I currently do not own a 10mm but soon will, I have money down on a Glock 20 that the shop doesn't even have, hopefully they can find me one within a couple weeks.

I am also a NRA certified instructor.

Firearms that I own right now are, glock 27, kahr pm40, S&W 1911, S&W 686, ruger 10/22, homemade AR15, Winchester 1894.

I also reload, I use a dillon XL650

Can't wait to get the 10mm

Hey...sorry I should have read this first before cluttering the forum with my own intro thread!  Anyway...I'm Brad.  Veterinarian in the Phoenix area.  Was referred here from a member on the S&W forum where I'm pretty active.  I'm a big 10 mm fan.  My current collection of 10s include S&W 1076, S&W prelock 610 5", Custom 1911 by Rhys custom out of Wyoming, Glock 20 SF and Glock 29.  I'm sure I'll be posting some pics soon enough!  Thanks for a new forum Reaper!

alwaysshootin

Would like to introduce myself. My user name is alwaysshootin. It was given to me by a very good friend, and simply it's because I'm always shooting something. Have a rifle/pistol range in my backyard, and a dozen target, archery walk through range.

My first 10MM was a 1.5 gen G20, and have owned two newer versions since, a G20SF, and my present favorite 3rd Gen G20. I have owned a Lone Wolf Tactical length slide, that was put atop my G21 frame to be used as a hunting firearm. Sold that, to have the funds for my latest G20, and just drop in a tactical length barrel to hunt with here in Ohio.

I presently own 5 10MM firearms, and, will definitely, be owning more, as they become available!

Rick jarred my memory.  I am also an NRA certified pistol instructor.  As soon as I get through the required state class I will be a Utah concealed firearms permit instructor.

Nice! I'm from fall river, working in western MA Westfield state university.

How hard was it to find your G29?

Hello all

I am a newbie with the 10mm as I have only had my G20sf for about 6 months. Like the gun and love the caliber. Been reloading and shooting for about 33 years and apparently I live relatively close to Grim Reaper, north of Seattle. By the way, thank you sir for a new forum.

Mike , 30 from TX.    Always looking for more 10mm info,   wish we had more options on 10mms.     Reload and shoot is about all I do outside of work.

Hey!  I'm in Luzerne County, PA.  I was lusting for a 10mm Glock for almost a year when I stumbled upon a deal on a G29SF and found that my lust was entirely justified.

I spent 4 years in the Marines, then fought the economy for a while.  I'm now studying electronics engineering and getting ready to make the jump back into a career.  I'm married with 4 kids and my wife is an author.  I have to admit, it is cool seeing her name on Amazon's best seller lists.

If she keeps it up, I might just become a trophy husband. :D

Turo

I'll introduce myself as well.  My name's Nick, I'm 23, and I'm currently going to school trying to get a degree in mechanical engineering.  I've been shooting for about 19 years now, mostly thanks to my dad, and I only picked up a Glock 20sf about a month ago.  I was a .40S&W fan for a while, but I naturally progressed to 10mm and traded my Glock 27 for a new 20sf.
I already reload for the 10mm, mostly Longshot, but I'm experimenting with a few other powders here and there, and I'll be posting some of my data collected in the reloading forum shortly.

I found out about this forum from a thread on GlockTalk where I lurk on the 10mm boards, but I'm hoping this forum will be a little more lively.
