Here is a short clip of Meghan, my girlfriend shooting her Glock 29. This was her second time out with her little Glock and I was so proud. Some technique and practice can mean the world of difference.

She demonstated excellent control.  There were some pretty good fireballs.  What ammo was she shooting?

These were a mild load for starters, a 155gr rnfp with 7.8gr of Unique.

My wife almost refuses to shoot anything but a 10mm.  She is a big fan of the round.  Even teases friends who have 9mm or 40 S&W if they are afraid the recoil of the 10 will hurt their girly hands.

Reminds me of one pistol class I did for two couples. I like to include my wife in the classes with other women. Seems to provide a ''friendly'' environment

Any how, I was watching over the new shooters and momma was shooting some others a couple benches down from us. She had been shooting this and that and was shooting the super blk hawk with 44 spls and asked for more ammo. I said all I had was the one box shoot the magnums... See, I tought her to shoot, she never even held a gun or had any interest in them. Simply put, no one told her the 44mag kicked. She shot it cylinder after cylinder with a bunch of big strong fellas standing around watching her.

Cool.  I try to shoot regularly with my wife and daughter. 

It's a joy and an inspiration to see other folks overcome the impossible, but it's positively entertaining to see people just 'do' stuff because they didn't know there was anything to overcome in the first place.

As for Meghan, she seems to have a handle on things--with what appears to be complete confidence and familiarity with the handgun.

I was suprised my self and had her shoot a few with me watching... She shurly did it... I was quite a proud man that day.

We shoot bullseye and I still get a giggle from a new member who gravitates to her (women) to talk guns. eventually talk comes to averages, usually they sulk away when they find out she has been shooting bullseye for nearly 20 years and has a higher average then them. She always offers pointers to new shooters. Ours is a friendly and informative league here in Connecticut.
