Very pretty!

I have a DW RZ-10 too. Over time I have seen these and the other high end 1911's but have not shot one or handled one. Since you have owned and shot both what do get in the high end pistols over the DW? I look mine over sometimes to see what could have been improved upon but don't really find anything.
While the RZ-10 is a great 1911-10mm Intercooler. It's just not in the same league as the NH hence the extra cost. When I had the RZ-10 I looked it over and thought about sending it off to a smitty and i do wish i could have done just that. But i chose to get the Falcon. I just love the hipower cuts on the slide and the flush cut barrel the serrated back of the slide and the flush cut slide stop pin and the checkered front strap and the hand fitted grip safety

Also the top of the slide has three ball cuts down the length of it and night sights. Plus its built by hand by a master smith one at a time and comes with a test target which is pretty much 3 shots in one hole. Then you have the guarentee and can send it back if need be at no charge to the customer either way. Your paying for alot but you get alot in return.

If i had sent the RZ-10 out and had all the work done it would still cost quite a bit and still would'nt be a 1911 built from the ground up one at a time by a master smith one at a time. It also has a one piece magwell and checkered main spring housing. Its a nice piece but I've got my CBOB-10 for CC but it does need some work also to bring it up to speed imo. If you compare the Falcon side by side with the CBOB you would see its like night and day in comparison. I hope I've helped you out with your question. Thanks,

So we are talking cosmetic tires and wheels not really the engine that drives it? First shot ever out of my DW was a dead bull and it's as accurate as anyone can hold it to the spot. Other than the tightness that drove me crazy out of the box it has been awesome. Unless it did something better in function that was totally obvious I guess me personally I could never spring for one. The cost would turn it into a safe Queen  :D

I tend to agree with Intercooler, but I also clearly see both sides on how the cost/benefit is weighed.  Still, very nice explanation d763nato.  You did bring to light aspects I had no idea of.
Gun Control?  Oh yes, the theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself & your family.  Makes perfect sense.

Intercooler yes we are talking all the internals as well as the outer.  For instance when you look inside the integral fully supported ramp looks like you could see your face in it. I mean all the parts are about as finely finished and fit as can be done by human hands.
Everythings beveled and rounded where it needs or should be, not so with my CBOB. Its kind of like comparing a  chevy cavalier to a chevy corvette. Do you see where I'm coming from. And no i don't own a corvette but have looked at them, i wish i owned one though. :)

Don't get me wrong I really liked my RZ-10 but at this time i could'nt have both. So i parted with the full size and kept the commander. I have nothing against Dan Wesson 1911's they are the best noncustom1911's made in my book. I'm sure I'll get another down the road. Now if Dan Wesson would only make a 10mm Valor or Vbob that would be just great and definately in my little collection.

Thank You Redline and like i told Intercooler i wish i could have kept the RZ-10 but the wife says i mean i have limits too.  ;D

Intercooler

Can you insert a round and snap a picture of the support for the archives?

REDLINE

I would love to see a pic of that myself.

Limits suck.  But I don't know anyone who has lives limitless.  They're just a part of life I guess. :(

Yeah...There is a lot more that goes into usability and shootability than accurate and reliable.  My Witness Elite Match is accurate and reliable, but it has so many sharp edges it would snag like crazy as a carry piece.  I would have to seriously de-horn that gun.

I know this wasn't addressed at me, but I just received a Custom Build Fusion Firearms 10mm. So new I haven't taken it to the range, yet. But if it shoots better than the target I showed shot with my RZ, I would be pretty amazed. I spent a lot of money hoping that with the 1" longer barrel, it just MIGHT,  though

Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Intercooler

Can you guys take a picture of your Nighthawk and Fusion chamber support?

REDLINE

Pretty Please on the chamber support pics?

You can post it here if you want:

Looks like we have a Fusion there but no Nighthawk. I'm interested to see!

I'm not home right now but I sent an email to Bob Serva, head of Fusion Firearms if he could provide a pic. Will post again if and when he answers. (And I fully expect he will. He's pretty good at replying to emails)
