Built my 10mm PCC only to find it has a FTF.  It has been to a gunsmith and he determined that there was too big of a gap to jump from when the bolt carrier picks up the cartridge from the magazine and delivers it into the throat of the barrel.  The cartridges get part way in then jam. He could get it to shoot with round nose FMJ bullets but no hollow points. Recommended a different bolt carrier.  Does this sound correct? Aren't  all bolt carriers for this 10mm the same?  Thanks in advance!

The cartridge transition can be problematic along with bullet nose profile.
It might be better with FMJ stuff that tends not to snag but slide up into battery.
Bolt carrier having a longer travel might could be adjusted with buffer arrangements

Look at the feed ramps and see how they match up to the receiver, I've seen this same problem where the barrel over hangs a little causing a sharp edge to stick out right where the bullet rides on its way from the mag to the chamber.

I have this problem with the 10 mm TNW ASR.  I just sent it back to TNW to see if they could resolve the issue.  There is a sharp lip to the feed ramp where flat nose bullets profiles are getting jammed between the feed ramp and the bolt.

What receiver did you use?

Mine is built on a QC10 lower and after installing a heavy buffer from Clint at heavy buffers it runs flawlessly.
