Struggling 200 XTP accuracy ?

I've been working up loads for 4 different bullets in G20 Gen 5 100% factory stock.  The 180 gr. XTP with Longshot is same hole accurate. 180 grain cast coated are 1"-2" group with longshot. I've been using A#9 for 200 grain bullets a cast WFN and it shoots about 2"- 2 1/2" groups.
Where I'm struggling is with 200 gr. XTP. with A#9 I can at best get 3" groups. So because the 180 XTP shoots so well with longshot i figured I would try Longshot with 200 XTP. thus far its better accuracy than A#9 for me but still cant get below a 2" group.  Is it normal for the 200 XTP to not shoot as accurate? Maybe my gun just doesn't like them?  I've been trying longshot from 7.8 to 8.5 with the 200 xtp but so far haven't found a sweet spot with any consistent accuracy.
Using COL: 1.245 and 1.250, and looking for Velocity of 1140-1200 . Anyone find a Longshot 200 XTP load that shoots well or advice?

Huntchick, 10.4 grains of Blue Dot (each hand weighed) is my accurate load when I started back in 1990 for 175/180/200 grain from My S&W 1006.

Using Longshot I always was pushing for velocity and 9.2 grains is what I use for the 200 grain XTP and Gold Dots in all of my 10mm firearms even though some can handle even more.
These make 1200 to 1235 depending on firearm and barrel lengths
The loads that I tested above 9.4 grains of Longshot showed stress on the brass as fired, slight bulging in the Glock factory barrel at times.

Thanks for the information. I cant find Blue Dot around my area or i would try it cause I've read about the 10.5 load accuracy. kinda hate to order it online when  I Have a good bit of A#9 and Longshot. Maybe I need to work further up with the longshot towards 9.0+ to find accuracy I stopped at 8.6 LS because the newest printed max shows 8.2 for 200 grain XTP. My jug of Longshot is pretty new within last 6 months( flat spherical). Even though I'm not showing any pressure signs except very slight flattening of primmer I was concerned about going to far above max printed data with a newer jug of powder.  I'm running 9.0- 9.2 with the 180 grain XTP.  Basically looked for around 1250- 1300 with 180 grain and around 1150 or so with the 200 grain. I'm defiantly willing to give up 50 or so FPS for accuracy. guess ill carefully work higher in hopes of finding better accuracy with the longshot and if i cant ill order a pound of BD to try before giving up on the 200 xtp. I have a decent 2" @ 25 yards with the 200 gr WFN Montana Bullet so if i have too i can always run the 180's and the WFN 200. Just was getting stumped on how good the 180 xtp shoots and not being able to get that out off the 200 XTP or close at least. Thanks again The_Shadow.

I am getting laser like accuracy with Blue Dot at the upper end of Hornady load data and 200gr pills. In fact, when going for accuracy, I always start with Blue Dot or BE86.

Finding no issues with the 180 or 200 xtp heads.... in a G20/3 stock
using a bench rest, at 50ft, produce almost identical spread on paper
( but am using BD with them )

Thanks guys. Seems like lot use Blue dot. Well I?ve not given up yet. Unfortunately Blue Dot isn?t available around my area but I?m keeping my eyes open. I?ve got a decent load using #9 just hoping to get something better with longshot if i can.
