On bigger rounds like the 10mm and 45 super a good brake changes the timing enough that instead of cases flying into the next zip code they fall right at my feet.  Recoil becomes very flat to the point it feels like someone is holding onto the gun.

I knew and understood a bit of that but this is a pretty good explanation.
I have a Charger that someone actually tack welded a muzzle device on. It served zero function other than added weight.

The tack weld may have been to comply with some state/local laws about threaded barrels or maybe an attempt to reach some magical overall or barrel length?  But I can't say for certain what the thought process would be behind it.

I have never seen a muzzle brake reduce the amount of back pressure to where if a gun was ejecting hard, that it made them just fall out at someones feet.

That seems a bit of a stretch.

While some brakes will redirect some of the outgoing gas in a direction other than straight forward to mitigate some of the recoil,  I've never seen one lower the internal pressures in a barrel or reduce back pressure.

I'd really have to throw the BS flag on that one.
This post checked by independent fact checkers, and they're all pissed off about it.

My Charger is a 10 inch barrel pistol, the device I cut off has a course thread pipe type size. I believe someone put it on for a cool factor.

Yep I read daily people get a new firearm and they pop up on a forum asking about modifications...  I say leave it alone, get to know the firearm as it functions and understand how to clean and maintain them!

AMEN!
