I really liked my standard length KKM for my G20 so well that I ordered a threaded version to host a Rugged Obsidian suppressor. KKM didn't list the required threading as a standard option so I called and spoke directly with a machinist who made one at no extra charge - point being I got great customer service. I really like the barrel's performance - hogs not so much.

I don't have any direct experience with Bar-sto or LW but have heard good things about those barrels as well.

Congrats! That's the 610 I want. I have a 629 Classic with the 5" full lug barrel and for me the balance/size/weight is perfect.

Couldn't agree more. The clueless clowns at S&W need to wake up. They still make the 629, so how hard would it be to simply machine the cylinders and barrels for 10mm??

Earlier this year I asked the guys at the S&W booth at Dallas Safari Club if there was a chance they would produce another run of 610's. They both just kinda laughed at the notion, saying "that" market segment was too small. I really don't think they had a clue what the 610 used gun market was doing. Hopefully these two guys don't have any pull with what S&W does.

I've seen some go for $1100 online. Do any of ya'll think that for those of us that can exercise a little patience (6-12 months) there will be some lightly used ones popping up in the sub $900 range?

Great news, but I think my next 10mm will be a P220 since I already have a .45 1911 Tacops. IMO Sig makes a great 1911 for the money. I also have a DW Heritage which is awesome but the Sig is right there. Should look kinda like this - I did replace the grips though....

Seems like I read a comment on Sig Talk where somebody was using their P220 .45acp 10 round extended mags with no issue. Not by design, but at least options may exist for more capacity.
