I have both the Delta Elite and the Witness Elite Match. I enjoy both. I choose the Elite Match because I wanted the SA trigger and I was doing some friendly IDPA shooting at the time, so the longer slide/barrel was also a benefit. I've only open carried this gun as it is pretty large both in length and weight, and I'm a relatively slim guy.

You mentioned wanting to CC. You might consider that the Witness Steel Full Size is 75% the weight of the Elite Match and almost 3/4" shorter. Maybe someone who owns both can comment on other differences.

When I bought by 10mm Witness I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. I'm still not sure I picked the right one. I guess that probably means I just need to buy more and do some firsthand comparisons. [emoji3]

Welcome to the world of 10mm!  Warning: 10mm shooting can be addictive.

I'm looking forward to trying out a Witness Elite Match this weekend. What holsters are you guys using?  Also, do the holsters fit all Witness models or only the Match?  I would probably open carry mainly, but if it's concealable, I may do so on occasion.

Thanks.

Got my brass yesterday. A huge thanks to the Earl for putting this together. The brass looks great. I didn't bother counting it, as I completely trust all the effort that went into this. I would do it again without hesitating.

THANKS!

Questions/Suggestions / Re: Tapatalk API Expired
November 22 2014 08:19:11 PM MST
I've been having trouble with using tapatalk on this forum for the past few days. Every time I tried checking for unread messages, nothing showed up. When I tried viewing specific areas I got an error. I'm unable to reproduce it because I removed 10mm-firearms for Tapatalk and tried to re-add it. Now I can't even find it in Tapatalk to add it.

I'm really hoping that it can be fixed soon. It's difficult to follow the forum on a mobile device without Tapatalk.

Thanks.

10mm semi-auto handguns / EAA To buy or not to buy
September 14 2014 08:11:05 PM MDT
I'd just like says thanks to Coltitis for all these details and additional questions. I too am considering my first EAA Witness. I was originally thinking about the Elite Match, but now you guys have me looking at all of the various steel model Witness pistols in 10mm.

Also, a special thank you to Intercooler and sqlbullet for all of the information provided.

Now, if I could only make up my mind...

For sale / EAA Match 10mm $539 with free shipping

What do you guys think about either a Witness Compact or Fullsize Steel for $420. Part #s 999230 and 999220 respectively.

Yes, I know I mentioned possibly hunting, so that would exclude the compact, but there's no law against buying two.

Also, I see that the Match is SA only and the others I mentioned are SA/DA.  Are these pistols designed to be carried cocked and locked like a 1911?

As I said, I don't know much about EAA pistols. Thanks again for any advice.

So, what's the word?  Is our order in with Starline?

Thanks again to the Earl for organizing this purchase.

You got my attention with this. A little over a year ago I handled a few EAA 10mm pistols in a tiny little gun shop. I didn't care much for the polymer, but the others felt comfortable. At the time I knew nothing about EAA. Now I know slightly more than nothing.

I've shot the Delta Elite, which I find very comfortable, but I'd like more capacity than the 8 round magazines. I've shot both the G20 and G29. Both handled reasonably well, but the Glocks just don't feel comfortable in my hands. They feel like I'm holding a chunk of lead pipe.

I'd like to find a 10mm that I can carry open or concealed, in the woods or on the streets, with plenty of rounds for any undesirable encounter. I'd also like something a pleasurable to shoot at the range as the Delta.  I might even hunt with it depending on my range and accuracy.

What do you all think, would this pistol fit the bill?  Any recommended mods to make it fit the bill?

Thanks for any advice.

Reloading 10mm ammo / xtreme plated bullets
March 24 2014 07:11:00 PM MDT
I'm considering trying some plated bullets. Does anyone here have good load data for plated bullets using IMR SR4756 powder?  I also have some Vihtavuori n350. Has anyone tried this powder with plated bullets?  I'm considering Xtreme and/or Rainier.
