highcom ran a black friday weekend sale on 4sas7 ceramic plates that brought them in cheaper than the AR500armor.com level III+ plates with the build up coatings. plus tall people need more than just a 10x12 size, they don't offer the steel in sapi sizes.

I agree if all someone is taking is lots of shots from 5.56 that the steel is better but the level III+ were the only ones that could stop the M193 the level III was defeated as seen by videos on youtube.

I think given the penetration necessities of stopping a bad guy and that 9,40, 45 all get deep enough that the extra recoil is not really doing that much.  In a hunting situation you are shooting from say 25-50yards where the velocity helps and also you get much more time to take a shot at a target that doesnt know he is facing armed opposition.

A LOT of 5.56.  And crates of 7.62x54r and 9mm.  Again, measure in cases.  The cheapest 5.56 will be better than any pistol ammo you can buy.

This law isnt a grand federal scheme to regulate carry. It just says another state needs to recognize a carry permit from another.  Like a drivers license. The entire carry permit system needs to go away but this is a good first step.  So you need to have a 10rd mag when you go to cali, so what.  that can be fixed with enough money.  Our side needs to open up our wallets and pulll some bloomberg type campaign as well.
