Do these need new longer springs?  I have seen some aftermarket with new springs and  g17 came with new springs. 

I am looking for some glock 20 mag extensions +2 or 3 rounds.  I'm not sure I want/need the +5 from SLR or others.  I really like the oem glock 19/17 ones.  I see pearce makes one, but has the lip for the pinky.  Anyone shave that lip off?

I am trying to find a glock 20 gen 4 slide, either stripped or complete w/ or w/o a barrel.  Is there an aftermarket gen 4 slide maker?

@sqlbullet - I saw your mod post on the mag well, looks great now.  On the comment about aftermarket rail, I'm not familiar enough on the 1911 side to to know the mod needed, can you point me into the direction?

I need to go get my hands on both and see which I like. I assume the FS HC (double stack) would be about the same as the Glock G20.  I have so much vested in holster for woods/hunting carry that making the RIA 10mm primary might take a while. 

I have been into 10mm for a while and have a built up G20 G3 that I use for hunting, and hunting / woods defense.  I have been getting into the 1911 game and looking at a Rock Island 10mm.
Trying to decide on the TAC or Rock series.  I have 15 rounds in my Glock now and really wish the TAC series had a full size high capacity.  I see the Rock Series has a FS HC and double stack, appears past the more rounds, the Rock series lacks rail underneath.

Is there another 1911 style other than STI that is double stacked but not the sky high price?

My turn around time on it was 4 to 6 weeks. I think they got it at 4 weeks.  They normally give longer quotes and deliver sooner.   I have heard that sometimes depending on how busy they are, can be 3 months.

Sure thing.  The grooves feel good.  You can get high texture and then sand it down to more of what you want. They did indicate they start texture at high and sand it down to medium.  Just a thought if you wanted to do a more custom feel.

I took me a long time to decide on doing this.  I felt that for the reviews and what was seen, Robar was local and had super quality.

Was and still am thinking of the G40 MOS for hunting application. But I have been shooting a friends 1911, so maybe an option.

Only the back strap was taken down.  The front I liked with the grooves and had them leave it.  The texture is a full grip texture, leaving finger grooves. They can take that out and smooth the grooves down and texture or just texture 3 sides.

They told me they would/could texture high on one side and medium on another. Custom it is for sure.  I am in Arizona, and so it was easy to drop off and pickup.  They said they get tons of guns shipped to them for work. 

I have a Glock g20 that I like and shoot well.  What other handgun models are recommended to have in a 10mm form? I only have/carry Glock, but for something range / fun I would branch out to a different make/model.

I really am loving the texture.  From original gen 3 to this new grip is night and day.  This is the medium texture.  I was a the range last night and ran a few Underwood 220 grain hard cast lead rounds fly and had a good time. 

I do notice a difference in control and comfort and it feels better than my glock 30 sf.

Not sure if they carry it for your model, but I have been buying for my other guns appendix and others. Like them a lot.  For hunting I have XST on a mule leg platform.  For my appendix carry glock 19 and 30,  I have the HSP INCOG IWB.
