I've been looking at some SIG .40's and a 10mm. I wrote two sellers who ass 3% for CC purchases asking which form of cash / mail payment they preferred and neither wrote back. No sale!

Do dealers expect to sell when they don't have the sense to answer a prospective buyer's Email?
I never understood why some vendors do this.  Why not just add the 3% into the cost of the product?  When listed separately it seems like an additional tax and turns some buyers away. 99% of the purchases I make online are done that way.

You should see some of the anti gun bills coming down the pipe.  Check out Sheila Jackson's HR 127.  It's got everything from bans to registration to training to licenses to psych evals to insurance, storage requirements, and public access to your firearms storage location.

I like to use Breakfree CLP on the bore, but for lube I think Weapons Shield, EWL 2000, and ALG Go Juice are better.  Sometimes I use just the slightest bit of Super Lube on the rails, sometimes I use one of those three.

General Discussion / Re: What would you get

I would probably look for a S&W 9mm Compact 2.0 to get me back home.  Good reliable handgun and less expensive than a Glock 19.  If I was going for another 10mm, it would probably be a Springfield Ronin Operator.

Factory 10mm ammo / S&B 10mm on sale

Selway armory has S&B 180 gr FMJ on sale for $13.95 a box

http://www.selwayarmory.com/sellier-bellot-10mm-auto-180-gr-full-metal-jacket-box-of-50.html?utm_source=FREE+AMMO+Subscribers&utm_campaign=2ef925b88d-FREE_AMMO_2017_07_30&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_4e51a596ec-2ef925b88d-104928497

I have run a couple of boxes through my 1006. It functioned well. It seems stronger than Armscor or American Eagle, but definitely not full power.

Factory 10mm ammo / Re: Ammo...180 or 200

The Hornady XTP 165 gr and 180 gr are not too shabby, although they only come in 20 round boxes, which makes them a bit more expensive than Underwood.

At least the price is right. Better than paying $30 for Armscor or Freedom Munitions, both of which seem pretty weak to me. Hard to beat Underwood. Or apparently even match it.

I think you'll find the S&B more than satisfactory.

Trump will be the 45th President, so you have to buy a 45.

.
And in 8 years, a 460.

General Discussion / Re: What is your next handgun?
November 19 2016 07:13:01 AM MST
I want so many, I don't know where to start.  So, not in any particular order:

Springfield 1911A1
Ruger GP100 or SP101
Ruger Mark IV
Ruger 1911 Lightweight Commander
S&W Shield .45 ACP
Glock 19

And although its not a handgun, and I already have 2 ARs, I want a Springfield Saint.

Any one of those will probably be my last firearm purchase for a while. I don't want to choose wrong, so...dilemma.

Factory 10mm ammo / Re: PPU In stock at Natchez for $18.99

I shot a box of PPU at the range last week. I swear, every round sounded different.

Factory 10mm ammo / Re: Advice on full power defense load
November 11 2016 07:12:24 AM MST
The Hornady XTP 180gr ammo is pretty good.  I think the Sig Sauer V Crown is also an excellent defensive round.  For a woods round, I might go with a 200gr hard cast that Underwood sells.
