Have you ever considered a Dan Wesson? They make a very nice 1911.

I'd get the Dan Wesson! Got my first one about a year and a half ago and will soon have 4. One of them is a Razorback 10mm built on a Valor frame with a few extras. All done by Dan Wesson custom shop.

Look at the inside of your slide stop. See if theres any coloring from the bullet on the slide stop. Mine was doing the exact thing with my hotter ammo and underwood ammo. I worked it a little and gave up. I emailed Keith and sent it back and he fixed it.

Got 350 rds through it. 250 underwood and some armscore.  The more I shoot it the more I like it. Only issue is the slide stop locks the slide back when the mag still has ammo in it.  I have file do. It and almost completely taken care of it. It now only does it with a friends 180 gr nosler jhp reloads.
Man I love this thing!

I think it comes with a 20 lb recoil spring.

It does, you are correct.  20lb Wolff, specifically.

As for shooting Underwood in your new RZ ... I can tell you that the new CZ/DW RZ's are tough and built tight, ... I'd say you're okay running Underwood through it, although I think it would help the longevity of your 10mm 1911 by installing a flat bottomed firing pin stop.
Thanks, I've got one ordered. After doing some research that seems like a good idea.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Underwood ammo in new Dan Wesson?
September 08 2013 04:52:29 PM MDT
I have a new Dan Wesson RZ-10 on the way. Is it ready to shoot underwood ammo as is or is there anything I should do to it first? Thanks for any help.
