Yes, what I've read is in total agreement with what you  say.  I've built a G22 with LWD slide and it turned out great.  I'm thinking with an actual G20 type slide, things should get back on track pretty quickly.  I still have to pick out some sights.  I mainly wanted to do this because I've long wanted something like a .357 magnum but in a higher capacity semi auto, and this is as close as I've come.  I've also built a .45 Super and 400 Cor-Bon on 1911 frames, but they are limited in capacity.  The 400 Cor-Bon with it's necked down case doesn't like a full mag.  Six rounds is reliable.  Go to 7 and the first round likes to tip down and jam against the frame ramp. Really good mags with strong springs help that, but it's still limited.   Thanks for the reply!
If you reload you can get your 10MM loads really cooking. Lots of great info on here about it.

Gunsmithing / Lone Wolf G20 slide on G21 frame

I have 3 LW pistols built entirely from LW parts, and a G3 G20.

You are not alone, trying to shoot 10MM through a 45 upper and vise versa is almost never going to work. I got that from LW when I started down the path many years ago with my G3 G20 Pistol, and they were correct.

The top ends of the G20 and G21 are interchangeable on G20 or G21 frame. Any combination will work as long as you you a full top end specific to caliber and magazines. Magazines are obviously not interchangeable.

You can shoot 40 out of the 10MM. It will work in the 10MM barrel and I know people do it, I wouldn?t advise it. Just get a 10 to 40 conversion barrel.

I have a G3 G20, a complete G40 built completely out of LW part (including their frame), a complete G21 built completely out of LW part (including their frame), and a complete G41 built completely out of LW part (including their frame).

They technically aren?t G40 and G41 because they are built in the larger frames and slides, and I don?t even think LW offers the long slide parts anymore (?), but they are awesome. My G40 is a hand cannon I use for pig hunting.

Any one of those uppers will work on any of the lowers. I have them specifically each for a purpose though so I don?t swamp them around. I used to use the Glock G3 G20 for all the uppers until LW came out with their frames, then I bought a frame for each upper so I could just have complete guns.

It?s been so long since I put them together but I believe that the ejector and extractor is the same?? I may be wrong. I don?t know. It?s been a while since I had to do anything with the small parts

Not sure the barrel will go in with a lot of work. The breach face on the 10mm and 45 is so different? Can?t hurt to try.

Ok.  Got my wife's tablet to ensure I wasn't getting anything that was related to me being the document owner.

Open the spreadsheet in Google Sheets App for IOS.

Click the three dots at the top right

Select "Share and Export"

Select Make a copy.

Enjoy your very own sandbox of the data you filter your own way.

Just saw this. I'll give it shot.

Thank you sir. I know. I'm difficult.

I saved a copy for the time being to Excel and then into Numbers so I can I have it on my iPad when I work in the shop. Obviously it won't get updated, but better than nuttn'.

Is there anyway I could talk you into clearing the filters?

I'm a Mac guy and using this mostly on my iPad, and the iPad app for Google sheets doesn't have anyway to do the filter trick. I can do it from my Mac, but there is no way to save it, or export, it expect in the current filtered view.

Spanks!

Gunsmithing / Sturdy non-taped optic mount for the G20

I have this one.

http://www.umtactical.com/store/p3/UM3_Sight_Mount.html

I also have the holster that goes with it. I believe it's made by Bladetec. It's a quality piece regardless. Both items are for that matter.

I use it mostly on my G20 Lonewolf Longslide that I built for hunting. But have used it on other pistols.

It's sturdy. Doesn't interfere with your traditional sights. And is easy to take on and off (requires no tools). And it does return to zero every time.

Look around to find the best price. I can't remember where I ended up buying. May have been Amazon.

I know it's on your forbidden list - I shoot my over hot 10mm AR carbine reloads in my Glock 20L SF(upper portion all long Lone Wolf). Other than being a hugely strong sting to my hand, the gun handles the loads  fine and the brass shows no signs of overpressure. The reason I bring this option up is: Once again (same as the 2016 promise), Lone Wolf in their 2017 Catalog is promising Large Timber Wolf frames..........I still want to finish my 20L.

The comp really helps to tame the "hot" stuff. Makes a huge difference.

I just use the stick barrel/slide for the more moderate middle of the road load and practice. Also threw a LW 40 conversion barrel in the stock slide. That's a good time.

I built up a G20 Longslide with a slide and barrel from Lonewolf. Runs like a top. Eats everything I feed it. Relatively cheap to put together. I built it for hunting, but it's just fun as hell to shoot. I will echo the above comments regarding hot hand loads. There may or may not have been several times I've had projectiles going down that barrel much faster than anyone would consider reasonable. And never a sign of danger from components or firearms. Again, just shot. And shot accurately I might add. IMR 800X is a royal pain in the ass to work worth. But that being said, I have time and time again, gotten the highest velocity with the best accuracy, and lowest SD/ED spread. Next best being AA No 9.
