What weight recoil springs is/are everyone using on there 1911's in 10 mm?  It is a springfield with 5" barrel.  My normal load is 180 gr lead bullet at about 1200 to 1300  fps.

I ordered an 18.5, 20,22, and 24 lb spring from wolf.  The barrel was suppose to be a drop in, of course mine was one of the 5 or 10 % that needs some fitting.  Will be next week before my smith can do it.  Springs should be in by then.  We will seeeeeeeee.

Yes it is a 1911 build.  Forgot to put that in the original post.  They are including a 16.5 and a 18 lb recoil springs.  Will start with them and see how she shoots.(and report on results of course)
Should come in the mail within the next hour and a half.  Patience?  don't have no stinkin patience.....

10mm semi-auto handguns / 40 to10 MM mod

Well I get my 10 MM barrel and springs tomorrow for my conversion of my springfield full size.  The gunsmith at Nowlin Arms recommends a 16.5 lb spring...... I am thinking that may be a little bit on the light side.  i also ordered an 18 lb spring.  am thinking it might even take a 20 lb spring for the heaver loads (my nowlin barrel is ramped and fully supported.)  Will post picts and a report after I see how it works.  Wish me luck,

Just wondering if any one had any experience with a 1911 springfield 5" in 10MM.
It is fully supported and ramped.  How is it with full house loads ect???
Thanks

Yeah it might have something to do with the fact that I have a 100 yard range in my back yard and he only lives/works about a block away and doesn't have a range.....  ;D

I have a 40 cal Springfield 1911 I want to have a buddy/gunsmith fit a 10mm Kart barrel into.  He will get the barrel and install for around 200 bucks.  What does every one think of this Idea?  Has any one had personal experience with this?
Thanks

For sale / WTT Delta Elete for a Dan Wesson(TRADED THANKS)
September 14 2013 04:35:35 PM MDT
I put this in the wrong place to start with .... Sorry

I  have a nice stainless Colt  Delta Elite in 10 MM  that I would like to trade for a Dan Wesson 10 MM. The DE has a 3 slot comp on the barrel.Comp is attached to barrel not a bushing comp.  I am the second owner.  First owner says was not shot much.  and I have not shot it much eather.   The 10 MM has enough pressure that the comp actually works.  Recoils about like a 45.  I have always wanted a DW in 10 MM so that is what i am going to end up with.
My pictures are too big to upload to site can send them to you.
Thanks
