I use 10.5gr of Blue Dot under 200 gr Noslers.

It works great in both the standard Witness barrel and the 6 inch.

Can't wait to take a deer with it this year.

When I got my 6 inch 10mm barrel I had to do just a little filing to make it fit right.  It was worth it in the long run.

The Witness front sight is cast in place.   >:(

I need to find a gunsmith that will cut the sights in.

I want to replace the front and rear sights on my EAA Witness full size Wonderfinish.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sooooo, keep jamming them in till you get 15 and let the spring compress?  When they are that full they swell a little and don't drop out till the mag gets down to about 12 rounds.

They also have K10 on the side.

Thanks for the help.

And 1000, can't order any this time, but it is looking up.

I have cut lots of springs in my past and as long as you don't overdo it, it works out.  The problem is knowing the difference between just enough and too much.

I will take pics when I get home, but I thought they were listed as 14 round mags, I guess they are supposed to be 15 rounders...  BONUS!  They have a little hole with 14 stamped beside it.  They are all marked Tanfoglio-Made in Italy.  One came with the gun, the other two were ordered by my LGS when I ordered the gun.

Even if they are 15 round mags the most I could ever fit in one was 12 rounds.

I have 3 new EAA Witness 14 round mags.  None of them will take 14 rounds.  I absolutely cannot force more than 12 rounds in.  There is no blocker in the magazine.  I cut 3 loops off of one of the mags and can get 13 in and may cut one more to make it work.  Is there any fix or should I cut the other springs?

For your information, if you cut a magazine spring and it flies off and you lose it, you WILL find it with your bare foot.  An inch of spring steel slipping into your foot with the ease of a syringe is a hell of a wake up call.

I just needed a 6 inch barrel so I could hunt with a pistol in WI.

Still available.  Hard to believe, but it's still there.  Must have been a huge order.

I can't compare pistol bullets and the damage they do inside a human, but after years of hunting deer with a .270, my bullet of choice is a bullet that breaks up, never leaves an exit and destroys the shoulder you hit it on.  My ex BIL used a .270 that would mushroom well, never destroy meat, and ALWAYS exited the other side.  My deer 9 times out of ten dropped dead in their tracks with a good boiler room shot.  His usually ran off 50-100 yards before dying.

Taking that to pistol bullets, for personal defense I will take a pistol bullet that tranfers its energy almost immediately and fragments in short order.  More wound channels, more hydrostatic shock.  I am not looking for penetration, it's a 10mm, it WILL get inside a human and do massive damage even if it doesn't penetrate 14 inches.  I want a bullet that dumps all of it's energy in the first few inches so all those nice soft tissues turn to mush, then get shredded by copper and lead fragments while the bulk of the bullet keeps plowing.

Why buy the Hunter?  Just do this...
