10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: List of 10mm guns
December 27 2016 09:38:30 PM MST
Special Weapons & Coharie Arms had the H&K MP5 10mm clones.

SW 89K 10
SW 89 10
SW 94 10

I believe Coharie was CA prefix, such as CA 89K 10.  Believe there may have also been a 4th model that one or both companies had.

I also noticed that the Para 16-10 was listed, which is a conversion.  If conversions are listed then the following should be included:

Taurus 405 10mm conversion
S&W 4013 10mm conversion
S&W 4014 10mm conversion
S&W 4053 10mm conversion
S&W 4054 10mm conversion
AMT Backup 10mm (converted from 40 S&W model)
Sig M2 10mm (converted from 40 S&W model)

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: .4506 mag in 1006?
October 27 2015 05:41:35 PM MDT
4506 mags will not work in the 10xx series guns.  They are too wide, so I can't think of any way to modify them.  I believe that the gun pictured in that article is a prototype that probably did accept mags similar to the 4506 mags.  I have 5 S&W 10mm marked mags that have orange followers that will fit in my 4506, but not any 10xx series gun.  I believe that S&W originally planned on the 10xx series being pretty much identical to the 45xx series.

For sale / WTT S&W 310 for S&W 610
June 16 2015 10:23:50 PM MDT
I was able to acquire a second 310, but don't have a 4" or 3" 610, so throwing this up for trade for one of those.  Comes with original case and docs.

For sale / MP5 10mm Receivers
March 07 2015 09:13:25 PM MST
Full size and K size Special Weapons 10mm receivers on Gunbroker.  I had to get one of the K size ones, as I very rarely see those.  Seller said he had a couple of each.  $950 each.

General Discussion / Re: Sig to make P220 in 10mm....

Never owned a Sig, but I believe that I'll have to pick up one of these when they come out.

Looking at the different models I'm thinking the Limited Pro may be for me.  The Stock II also looks like it could be an option.  Any one have experience with that one.  Major diffrence between those two seem to be a 4.5 Cone Lock Barrel for the Stock II and a 4.75 Straight Competition Barrel for the Limited Pro.  Anyone have experience with both barrels or guns?

10mm revolvers / Re: Custom Ruger 10mm/ 38-40
September 09 2014 10:02:56 PM MDT
After shipping and fees, I'm into it $925.  Don't think that's too bad considering it's never been fired, the customization, and the fact that I've never seen one before.

I've got a couple Glock 10mm's so I'm not really interested in anything plastic.  Would like to get steel.  I would say more for carry, but more for open carry in the woods type, not concealed.  I am used to SA/DA guns so I would probably lean towards one of those, but not set on it.  Would be open to SA.

10mm semi-auto handguns / EAA Witness 10mm Model Differences
September 09 2014 05:54:04 PM MDT
Could someone familiar with the EAA 10mm guns give a link that compares all the models or a quick rundown on the EAA 10mm models.  Like SA/DA, barrel length, capacity, etc.  Been thinking about picking up one of their models and not very familiar with their guns.

10mm revolvers / Re: Custom Ruger 10mm/ 38-40

Here's a little more info from the paperwork that came with the gun

"The grip frame is heavily gold plated as are the hammer, trigger, pins, loading gate, ejector tube screw, and center pin lock."

"The remainder of the gun has the superior Metalife finish which gives the gun a stainless steel appearance."

The work on these guns was done by Ronald T. Mahovsky for the Dale Evans Museum Roy Rogers Collection.

It is too nice of a gun to shoot, so it will remain that way.  Good thing I already have a Ruger Blackhawk 10mm that I got from McQuade that I can shoot.

10mm revolvers / Custom Ruger 10mm/ 38-40
September 09 2014 03:38:06 PM MDT
Recently picked up a Ruger 10mm/38-40 that was customized for the the Roy Rogers Museum.  According to the paperwork that came with the gun, there were 75 guns made like this.  This is the first one I ever saw, so I figured I had better snatch it up.  Pictures for viewing pleasure.

Miscellaneous 10mm Firearms / Re: 10mm Thompson
April 10 2014 05:47:45 PM MDT
I recently won a Thompson 1927 10mm barrel and bolt on Gunbroker.  Plan is to buy a 45 Thompson 1927 and change out the barrel and bolt.  Reading up on it, some people have used the 45 mags for 10mm.  Just have to save up some money now for a Thompson 1927.

I hear it is quite difficult to get the barrels off though.  Any one have any experience with the barrel removal?

The 610 came in 3", 4", 5", and 6.5".  I believe the 3" ones were not fluted, but there were only around 200 of them made for Lew Horton.  I know that some of the 4" ones were non fluted.  Don't think I've ever seen a non fluted 5".  The 6.5" I believe came in non fluted on the -2, but I could be wrong on that.  I do know that some of them were non fluted.

Want to buy / Re: WTB Smith and Wesson 1046
January 25 2014 10:58:15 PM MST
Thanks for the heads up.  I ended up purchasing one about a week before that one was listed.  Took me around 6 months to land a 1046.  That was with some hard searching.  My S&W 10mm model collection has now been completed.  May be one or two more 1046's coming on the market soon.

10mm revolvers / Re: S&W 310 Night Guard
December 31 2013 12:23:48 AM MST
I've got one, but I had to get it because it was 10mm and I didn't have one.  I've only shot it once with smooth combat grips and I would have to say that I wouldn't recommend those grips.  The combination of a very light gun with slick grips, left me repositioning the gun after every shot.  I need to get some different grips and see how much I like it.  For me it is too big for concealed carry.  It doesn't really fit any use for me, but I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.
