Ya'll know that a 357 cal Marlin 1894 can be converted to 10mm, right?

Just temptin' ya!

I have a Marlin in 10mm Magnum that I had converted in 1995 from a .357 as the cartridge length an base
diameter are the same so only a barrel change is needed ...

I must live under a rock... never thought to compare 357 to 10mm. If I can find an inexpensive used Rossi 92 357 magnum, I'm going to make one myself!

Off topic area / Re: Have you cut the cable?

When my son was little, I didn't like him watching 2+ hours of TV, so I ditched cable and did not install an antennae. That was about 20 years ago...

We have a small HDTV and UHF antennae, but it only gets turned on two or three times a year, when wifey wants to watch a Thanksgiving or Christmas parade, and when my son comes home during basketball playoffs. We have a Blu-Ray with Netflix, and we watch a movie maybe once every two months.

It's great being free of TV. I highly recommend it!

Now, if I could only get rid of my cell phone...

Those grips really look sharp on your DE. I also have a pre enhanced DE that my wife bought me for my birthday back in 89.
Thank you very much! I wasn't sure if the smooth grips would work well on a 10mm, but they do. It's really not much more of a handful than my Colt 1911 with 250 grain bear loads. ;)

Wish me wifey had given me a DE 25 years ago. It's great that you've had it so long. It's amazing how many people perpetuate the myth that the original DE is a frame waiting to fail... I hear it all the time!

Glad to see you here, you have found the place!
Thank you!

After you suggested I give the 38-40 a try, I looked around and found two boxes of 38-40 behind my 10mm. I'll shoot them and save the brass... when I come across used dies, I'll load some up since I have all the other components. Can you suggest a load?

Recently traded a discontinued Ruger for a discontinued Colt. I love it... a real tack driver, one of the most accurate 1911s I have ever shot.
Here it is with new Mesquite grips from Texas Grips.

10mm revolvers / Matched pair Buckeye Blackhawks
April 06 2014 07:16:31 PM MDT
Howdy, folks...

Two years ago, I bought a matched pair of Buckeye Blackhawks, thinking that I could sell the 38-40 and keep the 32-20. Then, my daughter and I shot the 10mm, and said, "We gotta keep this!"

It's a great pistol. I found so many bargains for 10mm components, it's one of the least expensive rounds I can reload. I love it!

Then last month I traded my 327 SP-101 for a Delta Elite. Now I'm all set!

Hoping to find some good info on reloads on this board. Glad to be here!
