I just checked and it's invalid or expired.

I posted my range review on the HP 1095TS.  It's my first HP and carbine.  I really like it and very happy with the accuracy at 100 yards.  Really tight at 50.  Mine was $341 delivered from KY guns.

Impressive results.  If you get a chance can you weigh the bolt? Going to try anything heavier? Would love to know if this thing could handle 200-220gr loads.

Yes.  I plan to test 200 gr XTP's.

Just glad I can contribute.  I mounted a Leupold VX-R 1x4x20. Note: my range officer fired all the rounds at the 50 years target because he is a better shot! Note: I worked up this load and it performed safely IN my guns. Do your own workups! My load for this test:

14.0 grains of AA#9
Each charge trickled and weighed: RCBS Charemaster
Check weights used to verify RCBS scale
Starline Virgin Brass ( not Nickel )
Win LPP
Hornandy 180 XTP
COAL: 1.249-1.251
WEATHER: 75* Sunny and windy

I had no doubt that this load would be very accurate @50 yards but did not know what it would do at 100 yards. Note Hornady states the maximum velocity for the 180 XTP is 1450 FPS. I expected about a 140 velocity gain out of the HP 1095TS.

My RO was not able to move with me to the 100 yard target so you'll get my results. No doubt his would have been tighter. Note: this was an existing target that I used. I only fired the 5 shots in green.

I must say that I'm happy with all 5 hits knowing I can improve with practice. I believe all are going to work well on the hogs....I hope

Chrono results:

Ave 1547.48
High 1599.84
Low 1511.6
Ext Spread 88.25
Std Dev 28.41

The 180's were smokin. My guess was 1550 - 1600 based on my pistol results and HP's results that they've posted. I don't exactly understand why the Ext Spr and the Std Dev were not much lower. Any thoughts?

BTW: Hornandy's max velocity that they recommend for the 180 XTP is 1450. I would be careful to consider that before shooting thru a suppressor. Hornady thinks their might be a possible jacket separation. That said none of them did (unsuppressed) and did NOT keyhole.

Heads up: I had 2 parts fall on my bench when cleaning:
#32 Sear pin
#35 Counter weight pivot pin

I'm not that mechanical. None of the YT videos took the parts out. I finally found that the pivot pin had to go under the sear pin then insert the #31 Sear cam.

I posted this in the HP carbine forum.
My wife gave me a Hi-Point 1095TS for my birthday. I've never owned or fired any of their pistols or carbines prior to this. I've never owned a gun this inexpensive ($331 delivered) but all the reviews were great. I'm a 10mm guy and want to develop a good feral hog load, if possible, accurate out to 75-100 yards.

My FFL ( indoor range) said to come get her. Hi-Point tech told me it was not necessary to clean & lube first so I went straight on the range. They also said to fire 300-500 rounds BEFORE using +P.

All my loads were 180gr FMJ Precision Delta:

Power Pistol 8.1-8.3 -100 rounds
PP 8.3-8.4 - 22 rounds
PP 8.4-8.5 - 100 rounds
Blue Dot 10.5 - 53 rounds
800X 8.7 - 50 rounds

I had just one FTF on round 119 with the nose on the feed ramp! I loaded & fired as fast as I could.

The cheek pad was not tacky as others have posted.

I stripped and cleaned her last night & it was filthy. I also removed the sights & installed a Mueller Quick Shot RDS and my HK vertical grip. Sorry but I haven't had time to take a photo.

Lastly I like the look of this Carbine so call me crazy.

My wife purchased one for me for my birthday.  I've got almost 600 rounds down range.  I like this Carbine for $331 delivered.  This baby functions! This is the first new gun that I did not strip and clean before firing.  I called HP and was told it was not necessary. Straight to the range and fired 325 of my reloads in the 1150-1200 FPS range for proper break in. I only had a single failure to feed with nose up in the 119th round!  I'm working on a hog load fit this 1095TS.  I've shared chrono with the admin to post.  I could care less about nicks and machining marks.  It will be in the woods with me.  I'm getting great groups @50 yards and 4" @100.

Factory 10mm ammo / Re: Underwood DE 180 gr GD JHP photo's

She runs just fine.  Don't think I'll ever wear out the barrel.  Out of my three 10mm pistols the DE has seen the littlest use.  I do plan to run her more often since she has become my daily carry.

DM1906: these cases were NOT fired in the full auto SBR.  They were fired in a Delta Elite.

Very nice Kwesi, what did you fire these out of?

Intercooler, now that the headstamp is out, what's the rest of the UW secret?  ;)

Colt Delta Elite.  I originally purchased his 200 grain XTP's to be used in my CA89-10mm (clone of a HK MP5-10mm).  This is a full auto SBR that I plan to use on my first ever hunt ( hogs ).  All was fine when I tested the 200's until I switched to full auto. The magazine blew out the bottom and the brass catcher flew off the side.  Kevin was. Rey concerned and offered to replace the ammo with whatever I'd like.  I chose his DE specific load.

I test fired my first UA Delta Elite load @ 1240 FPS.  I test fired 15 rounds @ 7 yards and they were dead on target.  I was only able to retrieve 4 of the cases  :(.  NOTE: Underwood headstamp vs Starline of the past:

I averaged 1180 with 8.5 gr LS BUT with Win LP's.  In my testing they get +30 over CCI's.  This was in my EAA Witness Limited 4.75" barrel.  PD 180 FMJ.

The sheet has 1250 but never got any to Chrony. Georgia Arm's site always says out of components.

My bad.  I got that backwards.

Intercooler: I just checked my can of Georgia Arms Canned Heat 165 FMJ's.  The can is marked 1250 FPS. I chrono'd them out of an EAA Witness Limited @ 1245 ave.  I saw the factory FPS was missing in your link in the first post.

Only problem: they don't make another LP for more potent ammo, the two choices are Hi or Lo LP's.

This thought is over my head personally, but is there a possibility that someone with such know-how could modify the LP made for higher power loads to handle souped-up 10mm loads the same way there's a difference between the two LPs that already exist?

I expect it's probably a stupid thought, I just thought I'ld throw it out there anyway. :-\

It's not a stupid thought at all.  Some of the clone manufactures make a gun that was never produced by H&K.  A Vector 53K is a good example (K stands for short).  BTW: this is one of my favorite guns that is chambered in .223 and has a 5" barrel.  They had to grind down a factory locking piece for this platform to function.  The angle on each side of the LP is what determines the timing and cyclic rate on these platforms.  That said I do not expect anyone will attempt this with the 10mm issue I've experienced.  Good thought though!
