If I may resurrect this thread and ask a dumb question about Contenders, of which I know little. Does the original factory Contender have to be chambered in 10mm? Are there possibilities of converting another caliber into a 10mm? The reason I ask is because I called T/C today and they don't make a 10mm in any firearm currently. I'm thinking I'd like to build a single shot 10mm Contender for target/hunting purposes, but was surprised the don't build one in that caliber. Guess I'm asking for a bit of an education about Contenders in general.
Thanks

Hey all,
Sorry if this question has already been threaded, but let an old man ask again...

Question:
How much gunsmithing does it take to fit, say for example, a fully supported and ramped Clark barrel into a Delta Elite? For those that've done it, I'm curious how much milling out it takes.

Sub-questions:
Any difference between the old Deltas and new Deltas, in terms of frame build?
Any barrel maker significantly better than another, Clark, Wilson, Nowlin, etc?

Thanks

. For lions a Delta Elite loaded with a good 180 JHP over a hefty charge of 800-X, Long Shot, AA#9, AA#7 will do the job plenty efficiently. Most lions weigh less than 150 lbs which are less than a lot of human adults. This one was about 170lbs and he qualified for the B&C book.

DEGOLDCUP, man where do you live? Saw your elk, too...nice take.
