I will normally wait a year or so once something comes out, but may not be the case with the X-10

I completely understand.  Been there and done that with my p365.  Got on board early.  And there were "growing pains".  Striker related mainly, but they also didn't originally come with a safety.  Which I had to wait until the parts started trickling out until I was able to give it the proper safety lever that it should have had from day one.  By the time I ordered the selector lever, spring and detent, I had more in the gun than I would've if I had simply just waited until they made what I wanted to start with.

When you get the chance, could you ask him if he has ran any of the "bear" ammo though it? 220 hard cast, etc? Also - did it eat it in its stock config or did he have to replace the recoil spring?

Thanks!

10mm semi-auto handguns / Smith bugs worked out?

I am in the market for another 10mm, want this one to weigh less and hold more (currently have a 1911).

I had narrowed it down to the XDM10 Elite 4.5" and the Sig P320 X Ten. I had ruled out the M&P 10mm, even though I had spent years wishing they would make one, because of a video in which the M&P proved unreliable with the hot stuff. IMHO, that makes a 10mm pointless, just buy a 40cal.

I try to be open minded and not to jump on a hive opinion without solid supporting info so..... figured I would ask here - was that a situation with one or two reviewers and some of the 1st guns out of the factory? Or is it an issue that has been verified as consistent?  I do not want to rule out what might be a great option simply because one guy had one pistol that was wonky.

I carried an M&P 2.0 9mm Compact for a long time. The pistol was incredibly reliable - fed it wtvr I could find, it has yet to stutter and is well over 1k.

So..... is the M&P 10mm worth looking at? Any of y'all have one? Fed it any really hot stuff like B.B. or Underwood?

Thanks.

Maybe I missed something but I thought that was dealt with YEARS ago. I had not heard of any discharges being caused by impact since they changed the trigger shoe. Didn't the original have a hinged trigger like an M&P? If you have links to any incidents AFTER the recall, please share them because this is news to me.

Didn't the article say we were supposed to get the details on the 15th?

In a marriage, ya have to pick and choose your battles. A 10mm P320? Now that's a hill I'm ready to die on  :D

I had a Gen3 G23 that did this but only with one of the (10rd) mags it came with. Bought it during the Ass Ban, can you believe that - a "Blue Label" had to be sold with 10rd mags?!?! Those were strange days. Anyway-i would load 10rd, when I shot #9, the slide would lock back as #10 was ejected LIVE out like a piece of spent brass. Dumped the mag (we were past "sunset" anyway) and it never happened again. My guess - bad/weak lips.

On a side note, let us know how that M&P handles BB and UW, if you put any through it. Thanks.

Yea, this bummed me out. I really wanted the XDM 10 4.5 Some folks theorize they will be back BUT as "elites", like the 3.8", with the better trigger and optics ready. I hope that's the case. As for the M&P. I have a 2.0 Compact in 9mm and love it and waited years for a 10mm M&P but then saw too many hiccups (on YT) when folks ran the hotter loads.

So.... I planned on waiting for either the return of the full size XDM10 or tye Gen 5 G20. Of course I went ahead and got an R.I.A. while I'm waiting :D
