I'm currently prepping for a backpacking trip with the family in grizzly country and have decided to carry my Glock 20 rather than my .44 mag.

With components so hard to get lately I've been unable to find longshot, which is what I was hoping for to replicate the Underwood load found in the pull down. That said, I have a handful of other powders and was curious if anyone else had any stout loads with these bullets using other powders. Obviously I will work up just looking for some powders and what others have had success with.  I've got a handful of VV powders and blue dot along with 5 or so other fairly common pistol powders.

I don't typically load for handguns, but the lack of availability of factory loaded ammo that I thought would be reliable pushed me into it for this instance.
