I agree. Colt has been riding the brand loyalty train for quite some time. Quality has been mediocre at best. Value for your hard-earned dollar has been near non-existent. Dan Wesson does an amazing job of putting together 1911. Unlike Colt, you DO get good value for your dollar. I'd like to see it work, as much as I am not a Colt fan, I'd hate to see a legacy gun manufacture completely fall to the wayside.

New to the forum, first post. I actually found the forum by Google search for the STI Heavy 10. The post I found was a very detailed range report on the Heavy. The OP was from back in 2017. It looks from reading the thread that a few here may be familiar with the Heavy. I have been speaking with Staccato and they had a hard time coming up with any solid info on the pistol. They did confirm that there were about 30 made.

The Heavy I have has the original production tag, matches the serial number on the 10. If anyone here is familiar with the Heavy I'd like to hear from you. Just looking for some information and insight. The OP is below.
