Hi Gary,

Leaving the spring it came with in the pistol is the plan especially with the S&B ammo I currently have unless it has any issues. The stiffer springs are there to fine tune if needed with full power Underwood or Buffalo Bore.

Photo attached, she's even prettier in person, and so much nicer in high resolution but we need to keep them small to post.

"(B) ACCESS.—The Attorney General shall make the contents of the database accessible to all members of the public, all Federal, State, and local law enforcement authorities, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, and all State and local governments, as defined by the Bureau.

Besides the obvious "the government can now easily kick your door in at 4.00am in full swat gear to confiscate your weapons because Karen Liberalnutjob down the street saw you put a gun case into the trunk of your car when you were going hunting and she now feels threatened" this little gem would be a positive boon to the criminals that wish to go "gun shopping" in your neighborhood.

Intercooler, Which, the Camo paintjob or the skeletonized slide?
Skeletonized slides! Just something I don't feel was needed, makes cleaning a little tougher and not my flavor.

Intercooler, It seems like the skeletonized slide on mine is thicker than a regular slide so I don't believe it's reduced in weight over the previous hunters. I don't have a sample of the regular slide to tell for sure. I went on the Tanfoglio website and it would appear to be using the slide blank from their much more expensive Tanfoglio Witness Match Xtreme with different slide grip cuts. Of course the Tanfoglio Witness Match Xtreme also has a much nicer trigger and hammer but I don't think they make up for the substantial price difference. I'm thinking they had way more of the Tanfoglio Witness Match Xtreme slides than the market required so they used them for the hunters. Could end up being a very small run of this set up on the hunter, time will tell. Either way, it's pretty badass in person.

Hi everyone,

New here but notice some names from the CZForum so that's nice. Anyway, just ordered an EAA Witness Hunter Part# EAA-600250 which has a somewhat skeletonized slide. As this lightens the slide I was wondering if anyone that has this version has shot hot loads with the Wolff 20lb spring and if so how did it perform? I'd think with the weight reduction an 18lb spring might be better for the big boy ammo. Any thoughts? Photo enclosed of this version of the Hunter.

I have the 20# spring and am loading hot loads.  Just ordered a 22# at the advice of a competition shooter.  I have 2 Witness Pro's.  I ordered the Wolff Springs combo with the hammer spring included.  And yes it made a big difference.  The recoil even with the 20# spring broke a Holosun.

I just got my 20# spring from Wolff as well as their calibration pack, both came with extra hammer springs. So, with the three recoil springs that came with the pistol I should be able to tune for whatever loads I happen to be running on any given day.

Mikey,

I believe I will, I've been a member of the CZ forum for longer than I can remember. I bought one of the original 75 SP-01 Shadow's from back when you had to call Angus and request competition upgrades over the phone, which of course I did  :D

I've since swapped out the rubber grips for the flat aluminum ones and after thousands of rounds and god knows how many dry fires on a rubber O ring the trigger is smooth as silk. But other than that she's just like the day I bought her.

Mikey,

I've seen some different versions of the Witness camo, they all looked good. My favorite was a black/grey camo pattern, really sharp. Make sure you post a photo when you get yours.
