5 yds is a little too close for my comfort!

Thanks. It was a Hollow Point (Hornady Critical Duty) and went straight through at about 5 yards; instant kill.
They were running in almost knee deep water, so they weren't closing too fast. [emoji16][emoji1360]

nice!
what's the story
Thanks, I eased up on a pack of Wild Hogs bedded on an island in a swamp & started cutting them with my rifle. They didn't realize where the threat was, so they actually fanned out in my direction, with one coming straight at me.
I had my new Kimber strapped to my thigh & unbuckled & it came to mind, so I dropped the slung rifle & drew/shot/holstered & went back to the rifle to cut another one running in the water.  It was a hoot!!

Nice pic there!

What bullet did you use? Did you recover the bullet?

I hope to post a pic like this here soon.

Yes, just because you can doesn't mean you should, I personally feel like it gives all of us 2A Supporters a black eye.

I use a Chest Holster but just setup a Thigh Rig for my 10mm for quick-draw on hogs.

Yes, I'm thinking like 50 yards max.
Good luck [emoji1360]

Handguns / Re: Handgun Hunting

So far, I've shot Wild Hogs with 5.7x28mm & 22WMR; both have taken them down. Recently I picked up a 10mm and I have 175 & 180 grain rounds.  I installed HOGUE grips, put it on a leash in a Thigh Holster.

Doesn't SIG make a HUNTER Model in camouflage?  Seems like I've seen it at several locations.

Nice, that's a good looking pistol; love the ported barrel.

Ya, I can't wait to fire a few rounds after dark to see what the fireball looks like.   :o
