Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: New to 10mm . Longshot recipe check

Lol hell yeah...
After playing around between 9.2-9.8g I've settled with 9.4. Brass was good after firing and accuracy was good (other than my 50yard attempts with irons.) I plan to chrono these soon.

I definitely will be purchasing a KKM barrel.

I was going by the load data from the powder manufacturer. From my reading and research a lot of the 10mm rounds are watered down except for A few from certain boutique ammo companies. Likewise I would say for the bullet manufacturers to follow suit as with the mainstream ammo producers

Forgive any idiotic grammar/mistype mistakes, I mostly get on here with my
Phone.

Very much appreciated. I'm sure I'll be around.

Appears to be sound advice. Any suggestion on a powder that may be able to achieve higher velocities on the 180g bullets without overworking the brass?

Also I've done some research and think I will definitely be buying an aftermarket barrel. Suggestions on a brand?

Reloading 10mm ammo / New to 10mm . Longshot recipe check

Hello. I've been lurking here for a few weeks and recently have acquired a Glock 40 mos stock. I did a load work up with long shot.
I worked up from 8.8g to 9.8 in .2 grain increments. Loading a hornady  280g xtp with starline brass and Winchester WLP. I didn't chrono these as I was looking for accuracy and pressure signs to begin with. I'm looking for 1300+ as this will be a hunting load and this is just what I do.
9.8 grouped well, unfortunately I had a smiley on my last piece of brass shot. I usually shoot 5 pieces when testing then if I find something I think may work I load more.

Winchester wlp
Longshot powder 9.8g
Hornday 180g xtp
.4220 case
.4215 crimp
Coal is 1.260

Cycles fine with no feed issues so far

Brass ejected around 5-6'
A little soot in case but not anything bad.

Can y'all help me get this glock set up to handle hot loads. This is the first glock I've owned. I have mainly shot 1911 in 45 acp for most of my pistol life. Any tips and help is greatly appreciated as I have fallen in love with this round on paper.

Thanks
