Gunsmithing / Re: Tanfo rear sight removal
March 30 2019 10:05:01 AM MDT
For anyone else:  Remove elevation screw, flip blade up, remove or loosen the two set screws underneath it (note:  These SOBs are in there tight!) may have to use some heat to remove them.  Push sight from left to right (sight should come out on the ejection port side (note: that SOB is in there tight, highly recommend a sight pusher tool).  I had to call it bad names, and threaten it with physical violence during the removal process.  YMMV.

Gunsmithing / Tanfo rear sight removal

Trying to remove the Supersight on my P Match Pro, which direction should I be pushing it?  I've read left to right, and right to left, and now I'm just confused.  Any of you know the "real" answer?  Lol! :D

Gear/Equipment / Re: Suppressed 10mm

Well, if I could get a barrel for my Witness I would be.  So, I'll have to wait for someone to make one, or EAA to bring in some longer barrels so I can thread one, or save up for another gun with a threaded barrel before I can.  Can is a Rugged Obsidian .45, I'll probably just run full power.  If I want super quiet I'll go with subs in 9mm or .45 ACP.
Sorry, not much help.

Yeah, I want one too.  Just hit the "Notify me when in Stock", and forget about it I guess.

Thanks for the info.  I just don't understand the business model I guess, if you don't have it, you can't sell it, thus your letting money get away from you.  I guess it works for them though.

10mm semi-auto handguns / EAA and Tanfo parts

Does EAA ever replenish their parts?  I put in a "Notify me when back in stock" request a month or so ago.  I also e-mailed them with a question, haven't heard anything.  I'm beginning to think Tanfoglio might be better off with a different distributor, or let me order parts directly from them.  Sometimes its hard giving my money to businesses, sheesh.

Thought I'd update this, got the chest holster from Alaska Man Gear, and it's a quality holster.  No it's not made from form fitting leather, or kydex, out of all the holster makers I contacted no one would even attempt to make one.  The AMG holster is made to fit pistols with a mini RDS optic, though you don't have to use one if you don't want to.  The best thing about this holster is not only does it fit my EAA P Match Pro, but it also will work with my FNX .45, G17, HK USP, and P226.  I have the one that has a pouch for an extra magazine, but you can order it with 2 mag pouches if you feel the need.  Muzzle end is left open so if you want to install an extended barrel, or have a comp you can still use it.  I wish it had come with some elastic keepers for the tag ends of the adjustment straps, but those are easy enough to source.

Only thing that I'm really looking forward to is more info on this: https://www.ammoland.com/2019/01/fightlite-mxr-subgun-product-announcement/#axzz5dHPiTg47
Definitely be interested in the 10mm, and 5.7X28 versions, especially if it is offered in, or easily convertable to an SBR.

Sure Post means it will surely take longer.

They have went to Sure Post, or Mail Innovations, can't remember which, but both those options take waaaaay longer than standard USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

I bought a box of the Hornady Custom 180gr. XTP's a couple of weeks ago, the box still listed the velocity at 1,180fps.  However they were chronoing @ 1,259fps out of my Witness.

Well, I finally found something that might work.  Alaska Man Gear, got one on order we'll see how it works out.
