Thanks guys!  I just posted a bit of a start to a thread. It's not much for now, but I've had one of those days at work today. So I'm cheering myself up a bit and about to make some meatball marinara sandwich with Provolone and raw Parmesan, a couple diced garden fresh pepper and some red onion. I would love to put all this on some dark rye bread, but I don't have time so some    less than great west Texas grocery store sourdough rolls will have to do. Just anyone that don't know, that's about the same as dinner rolls made into sandwich rolls. Not spectacular.

Forgot to mention the fresh mushrooms. Guys just gotta have that.   Did I mention I like good food?

Okay guys, I got this slide complete for super cheap at least in my eyes. So with the slide and an Ebay  New $90 barrel and a couple mags I stripped the top off the .45 I just did from a tactical machine 80%. I kinda like it, yet with too much reading I have another idea I may pursue for it.

so this grand Idea of mine is to use one the Para double stack castings I have from when sarco was selling them a few years back. Redo the whole mess on the P-14 size and have a power house of final product. FTR, I've done a 9mm and a .45 on those castings. I still have two left, so they are kinda burning a whole in my project pocket. Done a few(as in a couple, that means two) of the single stack 80's now as well.

any way, that's it for the moment, I have springs on the way and I don't like the FP stop. It's loose as well... insert your favorite "loose" metaphor here.

Another new guy checking in.

Found this place accidentally when I was actually looking for something else, buy by chance I just happen to have a project happening that fits here so I'd though I'd join and gleam some info and share some experiences. Been sitting back lurking for a few days, just kinda feeling the place out. Decided that it's time to say hello.

I'm sure one or two of you probably already know know my name from another forum or two around.

bit of background, currently living in West Texas. Tractor mechanic for a day job.  Not originally from Texas, but as the Six years I've been in this town it counts as the longest place I've lived since I was 16. I don't really call myself from anywhere, cept my house. I'm 47 if that helps in understanding the time frame any.

I'm a homebuilder. Worked a couple gun shops over the years. Mostly just work on my own stuff.

I also like to cook. I love good food, I dislike going to restaurants.

Good to see ya'll here. look forward to info swapping with you folks in the future.
