Guess it wasn't meant to be. I returned the red dot as I couldn't hold it steady, was more accurate open sights, and put on Ameriglo CAP sights. They are awesome at 10 yds. I tried shooting at 25 yds and I couldn't see the target with my readers. I bought this G40 for hunting and there is zero chance of me qualifying with it at my club. Qualifying is 2 out of 3 bullets in a six inch circle at 50 yds. No sense in keeping a 10mm that I can only shoot a max of 10 yards with. Sucks beyond words. I guess pistol hunting is out for me. I am getting ready to order some deer hunting ammo for my G40 MOS and am torn between the 165 and 180 gr Gold Dots from Underwood. Is the 165 gr loaded too fast for the Gold Dot?

I had zero primer problems out of almost 200 rounds.

Got a G40 MOS last Sunday. Haven't gotten a red dot yet, but am going to shoot it open sights on Saturday. I like the way it feels. I have had about 7 or 8 Glocks and this one is already my favorite and haven't even shot it.

I shot a couple hundred of the FMJ. Groups ok. Seemed to shoot pretty dirty. Didn't clock them so don't know speed.

Going to sell it on Gunbroker I believe. I hate too, but wife would kill me if I bought another gun as I just bought a S&W Victory about two weeks ago.

I decided against getting it cerakoted. I wish it was tapped for a rail. I really need a red dot. I have to use readers to see the open sights and anything past 10 yards and the target gets super blurry. I hate to only be able to shoot this thing at 10 yards.   If anyone near Lexington, KY has a Glock 40 MOS and wants a 1006 I am thinking about trading so I can have a red dot capable 10mm.

I would, but I hate to ship the gun off. I can have it cerakoted locally.

Well Bud's just sent me the email telling me it is ready, but they close in about 30 minutes. I am only about 10 miles as the crow flies, but with traffic, no way I would make it. I'll go at lunch tomorrow.

One of the days I'll get back into it. I have 250 rounds for now and Fiocchi doesn't cost a whole lot. I got 250 for $100 plus shipping.

Bud's does hundreds of transfers a week. The problem is the one guy unpacking that doesn't work every Saturday. FedEx dropped off 250 rounds of Fiocchi ammo a couple of hours ago. Thought I was going to have a great day at the range. Oh well.
