I have a 686-5 6" and it shoots great also! I like 2400 for the hot stuff also because that's what Elmer Keith like for the .357 lol! have fun and be safe.

Finally made it to the range and the new barrel worked great! Tried two loads the 180 grain XTP' with 8 grains of unique and 150 grain noslers with 11.5 grains of blue dot. The empty brass looked great! No more bulge lol. I tried putting a fired case from the OEM barrel into the match chamber kkm and it only went a quarter way in. The kkm is a lot tighter in the chamber.

Barrel came today! Dropped right in with no problems. Hope the weekend isn't a complete washout so I can get to the range and try it out.

Check out Exodus gunleather! Have two holsters that Carl has made me and they are awesome! One for my 1911 and the other for my Glock 30. Can't beat horsehide for a great holster!

Sprayed my press down with rem-oil and cleaned up my powder measure. Need to get out and go shooting to have something to reload lol.

I just lay one of those cheap blue tarps down. I think mine is 12' x12'. Works great and was cheap lol!

That was my findings as well kenk. And as you I looked at the higher end stuff. Plus it looked like the more expensive barrels needed to be fitted. Can't wait to shoot my handloads through it!
