I would recommend the Underwood loading of the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Penetrators. The 140gr XPs come out of my Glock 20 in the low 1500s. They penetrate on par with 200gr hard casts with better weight retention on hard targets. I have taken a mule deer with my Glock and the wound cavity through the heart looked consistent the to that of ones shot in gel.

Those Xtreme Snakeoil pills just dont cut the mustard. OP, the hardest will out penetrate the "Xtreme (Under)Penetrators" 3:1. Not to mention, the weight comparison is like car crashes. If you were getting T-Boned at a 4 way intersection, would your rather be hit by a Sportbike going 100 mph or a Semi with trailer running 50 mph ?
Funny, that you say that. I did tests between the XPs and the hard casts going through hard targets. The XPs lose less than 5 grains of weight. The 200gr hard casts lose about 90 grains. So which one is the motorcycle supposed to be?

Nice job on freezer filler.
I took a Whitetail buck in 2017 with my TNW ASR in 10mm.
It's a great round and mine seems to do well in the velocity department with a 16" barrel.

Nice to finally see the XD in 10mm. I like the selection of 10mm that is slowly growing.
If there is a caliber that owes zero thanks to the FBI, it's 10mm.
We are still trying to fight the 550 ftlb standard that the FBI established.

This is a little bit of a rabbit trail
Just a thought, if you are looking for a companion carbine, go with the TNW ASR in 10mm.
You can then order a 357 Sig barrel and rent a 9x25 chamber reamer from 4D Reamer Rentals and make a 9x25.
I chamber reamed a 45 ACP barrel to 460 Rowland for my ASR and it shoots sweet.

I hate being that guy who has not done exactly what you are looking for.
So this is what I do have to offer.
I have a Gen3 Glock 20SF, and went from 18# stock to 22# with a steel guide rod. Ran it for years, and was happy. Then I got a DPM guide rod assembly custom done by DPM for heavy (true 10mm) loads. My grouping shrunk and follow up shots are easier.
I know they do an offering for the 1911s. You might give them a try. Their triple spring setup should take any slam out of the slide/frame combo.
They are spendy, and expect a tall 3 week wait time as it ships from Greece.
Just a thought, it worked for me.

It would be interesting to compare the revolver 10mm to a comparable length simiauto. I would be curious to see how the recoil and velocities compare.

I'm right there with you Blaster. I had my 629 Classic 6 1/2" w/power port at an indoor range alongside my Kimber 10mm a couple of weeks ago. The muzzle blast alone was enough to draw attention. I could feel it in my chest :)
Don't forget that some of that 10mm recoil gets taken up by the slide. The 44 it's all about you soaking it up. Even my 357 feels more punchy than my Glock 20 shooting comparable bullet weight and power factor loads. A DMP rocoil management system will smooth that 10mm out even more.

I had an old Cougar & Hunter progressive press that I was able to simply modify for 40 S&W from 38 Spl and 357 Mag. It had a setup were the pimers traveled horizontally to where they would get seated. One day the pimer to be seated got sideways and it popped. It created a chain reaction down the line. Needless to say, it was loud and got my undivided attention. It was enough energy to strip the eight #8 fine thread screws that hold the access plate and total the press.
