Mags arrived in factory EAA poly bags and are stamped K10 Made in Italy.

I noticed with the original magazine that when I loaded 14 the mag body expanded ever so slightly and didn't want to insert. So, I'll load lucky 13.

Mag springs seem overly strong compared to other mags I have, so at the risk of a spring I might experiment with reducing the spring until it feels "right" to me and then I'll see if it is reliable. At least it's an old school mag that disassembles easily, unlike some *Glock*.

Good news! Hard Chrome! Out of all the pistols I have, this is by far the nicest looking. And it shoots very well.

I see the front sight slides out of a dovetail, but how does the screw work? Is it a plug screw?

I just picked up a Tanfoglio Witness Stock 1 with a bright finish. Is it hard chrome or stainless steel? I'm hoping it's hard chrome.......

It has I believe a replacement 20# recoil spring. Ejected brass tries to leave my zip code. Anyone ever slightly shorten the ejector?

The pistol has an adjustable  rear sight. Who makes the best fiber optic front sight? What height? How is the front sight removed/replaced?

Thank You.

I picked the pistol up today and my first impression was WOW! what a great looking pistol! MT10mm had installed the Henning wood  grips and they really made this  pistol shine. They look a lot like Nill grips for SIG's.

Im partial to DA/SA pistols and have several old German SIG's that I shoot often, so I felt right at home with this Tanfoglio.

Went over to the range and fired 5 shots, adjusted the adjustable rear sight, fired 5 more and it was zeroed.

I shot a box of Magtech 180gr FMJ and 10 rounds of Doubletap 200gr WFNGC. Functions 100% and very accurate. Felt more comfortable to shoot than my Glock 20SF. I'm sure the additional weight helped, but this pistol feels great in the hand.

I'm very happy with the pistol and MT10mm was a pleasure to deal with! I would buy another firearm from him anytime.  :D

Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: Poly coated bullet ???

The coated ones I found so far look like soft lead BN12 plinker type bullets.

I'll stick with a hardcast wide meplat type bullet. I'd like to find a 200gr WFNGC bullet but so far no luck.

Reloading 10mm ammo / Poly coated bullet ???

What are the benefits of 10mm poly coated bullets? Drawbacks? Do you do it yourself and if so, how? What company sells these?

Thanks!

I ordered two from CDNN. I've got my fingers crossed that they are made by Meggar, but we'll see. As long as they work I'll be happy.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Tanfoglio 10mm magazines

Where's the best place to pick up a spare magazine for a Tanfoglio Witness 1 10mm? Anything specific to know about different manufacturers or generations of magazines?
Thanks!
