Let me say right from the start, I'M A DAN WESSON FAN BOY!

If you can find a VBOB 10mm, jump on it!

Preachin' to the choir there... I have a Bruin and Vigil but DW doesn't make (if they ever did it's now not worth the hunt or $$'s for one) a compact steel frame .40 which I initially want more than a 10 for a dual caliber. The .40 according to Bambi Secret agent kicks too hard (DW must agree as they don't offer a.40?) so I had the good fortune to stumble on this one.

I shot the RIA yesterday and it's Faarrr better than I thought it would be, tack accurate, and reliable with any ammo I fed it, and it shoots way better than the modest $679 MSRP would imply and I would say easily as good as my Vigil in Super. As a ."hard kickin' .40" That says a lot!

Were you referencing me on this one? Because if so, that is the opposite of what was reported and I have repeated. These reports can be found publicly regarding the Miami shootout, subsequently FBI wanted stronger caliber, then agents couldn't shoot to agency standards, and watered it down. They kept watering it down and down until the ammo companies realized they could create the load with the power levels they could handle by simply using a 9mm frame and a shorter cartridge than the 10mm auto.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: Went Overboard on 10MMs

Too much is never enough. I've been collecting them since ~1992 and now up to a few dozen 10's. I know there are some out there with more, and some with some truly rare gems. I recently got to see a photo of presentation booth from a fellow 10mm and Bren-Ten fan. It was incredible. It todays money, with the items in that single display he could have bought a very nice house in much of America.

I am still looking for some early Dan Wesson Razorback (1 of 150 series), or a CCO. Or, a Bren Ten SFD which might be out of my price range right now...
Also, conversion barrels for Springfield Omega (non-match)

Just because that company's (LWD) product is, doesn't mean that Glock's is... My guess would be that is is, but I'd recommend running a caliper over where it would rest when it is in the lockup position and ensure that area is the same size as the original barrel.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: G29 vs SA 3.8

I bought my first Glock (G20) around 1994 and have had a G29 which I am not upgrading as I like it without the rail, and have upgraded the G20 twice. I also have the G40 MOS. I will get a Springfield 3.8 at some point (already have ~10 of the old steel 1911 Omega, Omega Match, and Linkless models). Why? Just because I am going to get every 10mm production model made by the time I die. LOL

Somehow I lost track of this thread. Sorry about that. I just spent $12.5k on 3 shotguns (in one package) so I'll be a low on cash for a bit, but I am still looking.

All of the early RZ-10's (Razorback's are TIGHT fighting. So much so that many of my 1 of 150 needed shot a couple hundred rounds before they became reliably. The ones I shoot regularly, all out-shoot my abilities. I initially loved the stainless with black grips and red logo. To my eyes, it just 'popped'.

@Hairbol, if you ever decide to part with #102, let me know. Anyone else, I'll try to keep better track of this post this time.  ??? I added Notify this time...

WTB Dan Wesson Razorback 10mm's First run "# of 150" guns. (serial numbers 1-150) or even just the "Red Eye" black grips.

I have several already, #70, #105, #106, #111, #118, #128, and #134 (along with 204). I would like more of these if they are in near mint condition. I am also looking for just the black panel grips with the "Red eye" DW logo also.

So, my highest wants are Dan Wesson Razorback 1 of 150 series. Others include:

Dan Wesson 10mm CCO

Dan Wesson Bobtail 10mm

Springfield Omega Match 10mm

Bren Ten SFD (special Forces Dark) 10mm which is an all black gun.

Accessories:
Dan Wesson Red Eye grips (came on the early Razorback's, they were black with the DW logo in red).
I am also looking for Springfield Omega barrels (I have 10mm,  .400 Cor-Bon, and .45 ACP. I'd like .40 S&W and .38 Super, maybe others. What have you got?

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: Every day carry

Geeman, it sounds like it needs a 'fluff and buff'. This was very common procedure to the early Witness line. You can google that term for pictorial details, but essentially it is taking a dremel, a polishing wheel, Flitz compound, and polishing the feedramp, and the slide rail contact area. That fixed all my failure to feed issues back when I had one. I traded mine (plus cash) for a S&W 1026 Police. Any gun can be carried, even a Desert Eagle, but when there are lighter and/or more compact options that are even more proven, I don't feel the need to carry steel.
I have a few dozen of 10mm's to choose from, ranging in price from $250 to $5500. My favorite to shoot is a Star Megastar. Most accurate is a toss up between Dan Wesson Razorback and Springfield Omega Match. CCW gun is Glock 29. My woods gun has been a G20 for nearly 25 years but I might switch that out to the G40 if/when I get a holster for it.

Want to buy / Re: 1076 magazines

If all else is equal (price, condition, etc), I'd suggest the later white follower Accu-Guide version.

I've had an original 1st gen Kel-Tec P3AT (the predecessor for the Ruger LCP) since about 96 or so and have put over 1k through it. I once hit a snake in the head twice with it from ~10' or so. Not bad for a gun with only a sight groove and no actual sights. It is not particularly fun to shoot due to it pinching my trigger finger every shot, but it is a 'working gun' as is my other main weapon when I can carry it, 3rd gen G29 (by choice, don't want a rail on subcompact). After front pocket carry for many years, I finally had to have the slide cerakoted as it was starting to show faint rust from being against me during the hot summer months.

Any gun that is to become my main carry gun gets a bare minimum of 250 rounds through it and if it hiccups, then the count resets. I have to have 250 rounds FLAWLESSLY before I will carry it. I need to know that if I ever have to pull it out, it will work (true for other things too  ;D ).
