Well I have used a lot of Blue Dot over the years but haven't worked wit the Swift 10mm bullets.  Personally they are too expensive in my opinion.
We have a great load data section listed here: http://10mm-firearms.com/reloading-10mm-ammo/10mm-load-data-collection/
Of those powders listed:
I have loaded 10.6 grains Blue Dot with the 200 grain XTP making 1200 + from my 5" barrel
AA# 9is also another I have used 13.0 grains with the 200 XTP also making 1200+ from my 5" barrel
I haven't worked with N-105 although others have...
Now I will say that carefully charges of Longshot or IMR800X up to 9.4 grains will get 1245 fps & 1230 fps as top end loads.  (While I have tested higher it is hard on brass and the firearms)

Recent work with Alliant BE-86 and 200 Grain Gold Dots I used 8.4 grains making 1237 fps.

@the_Shadow
What do you use for a loaded OAL with that load of Blue Dot and 200XTP?  I just got some of this powder and would like to load some 200 XTP to take to deer camp in two weeks but I have little to no time for development.  Would you consider 10.5gr of Blue Dot safe for a 6" Witness Hunter in new Starline cases and Win or Wolf primers?  I could load a small ladder test tonight and get it done this weekend.  So far book loads of Unique and Longshot have worked as expected with other bullets so I don't think I have a tight or goofy barrel.

Gear/Equipment / Re: Witness Hunter Concealed Carry??

I'm still playing with the idea. I picked up a basic IWB cross draw for my 1911 and so far so good. But I think it may have be owb for it to work.

Gear/Equipment / Witness Hunter Concealed Carry??

I'd really like to concealed carry my 6" Hunter 10mm.  Holsters are few and far between.  I have a chest holster for hunting but  it doesn't lend itself to concealed.  First, is it possible to carry a 6" barrel?  I carry my 5" Kimber 1911 in a Alien Gear IWB holster and suspenders with good results.  I'm open to some sort of cross draw or shoulder holster too.  I'm 6'2" and about 240 pounds so I have a bit of area to hide a larger frame pistol.  I know there are custom makers, but maybe nobody silly enough to try this? I just really like the thought of 24+ rounds (with extra mag) of 10mm should the crap hit the fan.  Let's not get into discussion about proper carry guns, I have others I can use and I may buy more, but for now there are certain scenarios that this pistol would satisfy better than others.  Would usually be for four hours or less at a time.  I'd like to hear others experiences or opinions.

I have the hunter and think it is a lot of gun for the money. Beautiful workmanship on the metal, finish is great and the single action trigger is very very good. Mine is very accurate and I'm looking forward to getting an optic on top to really wring it out

Tough to say from a sample of one. Seemed to not like cheap ammo but did ok with better quality stuff. That's not too unusual. I'd give one a try if I run across one. Handloads can work wonders.

Gunsmithing / Re: experience with Witness sear?
March 16 2018 10:19:34 PM MDT
Thanks for the reply!  It definitely is helpful.  Too bad there doesn't seem to be a drop in solution.  I've looked at that straight trigger and I'm just not sure I would like the feel but I'll keep an open mind.  Wasn't aware the EGW defeated the FPB, I need to understand it's function better to make  a judgement how I feel about that.  I'm not running and gunning either.  Too old, too fat.

I've looked at how the sear engages the hammer and my first thought was to shorten the engagement by thinning out the sear from the bottom side.  That would leave the engaging surfaces fully hard except when it rolls over the edge.  Shortening the hooks on the hammer is probably a little more fiddly.  I don't need glass rod-breaking crispness.  If I could get rid of 50% of the creep I'd be pretty happy.

I need to do some research and figure out what it takes to harden that sintered or molded metal, whatever the sear is made from.  I have a heat treat furnace to play with as well as Kasenite.  Maybe the Melonite process, that seems to be popular and makes stuff hard and slick.

I'm not against sending it out either, but I don't know to whom and I want to have a go at it first.

Looking forward to anything else you can come up with.

Sorry to drag a year old thread out of the bushes, but I have the same concern as the OP regarding SAO trigger creep on  Witness Hunter and this thread didn't seem to have a wrapup.  I've adjusted out the pre-travel as much as possible and  I still have about .100" of trigger travel for the sear to release the hammer.  The pre-travel wasn't too concerning, acts like a two stage trigger which I prefer on a rifle.  But that creep on the second stage is very distracting for deliberate trigger pulls.  I haven't done the polishing routine but the trigger is already very smooth and likely get better.  The weight is about right just over 4 lbs.  None of the info I've found online addresses sear engagement.  Any luck with the EGW hardened sear?  Does another hammer have shorter engagement?  I don't want it on the hairy edge but right now it has way too much engagement for deliberate shooting.

Curious as to what specific problem you had with the OEM sight?  Adjustments backing out and moving up or L/R?  Sight moving in the dovetail?  I have a new to me Hunter and I like the sight picture but will be on the lookout for something moving.

Also considering going to a reflex sight because the eyes aren't what they once were.
