Fleabay... $120 for RIA factory replacement ...other brands (Nowlin) run about $250.. I'd recommend gunsmith to make final fitting

Just picked one up for USPSA Limited.... its my 5th 1911 and I have to agree- I love this thing... had some last round in the mag failures to feed but after replacing the mag spring I've had zero issues with both factory and Reload ammo and I've run close to 2000 rds thru it.. Yes holsters can be a pain to fit -found one made for a Para P14-45 and it fits like a glove. I have a Tanfo Stock I and between the two I'd say this one tames the recoil just a bit better.

I just ordered a RIA .40 S&W bull barrel for it to kinda keep the ammo cost down when shooting competition-The mags are the same so its not a big buck ordeal to go back and forth.

10mm semi-auto handguns / Re: TRP 10mm

I have one and it was a PITA out of the box... not being bright enough to just send it back to SA, I polished the disconnector rail, ran some blue magic on the slide rails, replaced the extractor, and just touched the chamber with a finishing reamer... runs everything I feed it now and it is back in my good graces...Lots of FTRB issues from others (or at least that is what most complain about)

Moral of the story- Don't follow my lead.. ::)

Send it back...at least give them a chance to make it right.

Count me in with the OP. When they hit the shelves I got to shoot the XDM... Didn't wow me enough to give up the TACOPS... or any of my 10mm 1911's.. If I had grown up with plastic guns then I might be more impressed.

But at least it keeps the 10mm alive with a newer generation of shooters who see 1911's as Grandpas gun that belongs in a museum.. >:D

Well crap... Sorry that was a dead end... It seems that EAA is almost covert with some of their parts sometimes.

Their webstore needs the "Notify me when back in stock" button  >:(

Have you tried Patriot Defense in Kemah, TX?  They will sometimes have EAA and IFG parts that no one else can get.. Or at least point you in the right direction..

Just a thought of where to start.

Translated..."We cant figure out how to fix it, so we will go with operator error..."   >:(

Impressive customer service..

You might consider getting a reamer for the chamber or having it done by a 'smith... If that doesn't work, then Id say new barrel would be the next step..

I said screw it and bought a Tanfoglio from IFG.

Hope you get it back and it runs like it should. Will be waiting to hear what they say.

I've been away from the forum too long and obviously never had anything of value to post... Until this thread...Apparently your issue isn't an isolated one...My TRP 10mm has done this from day one... Mostly with MagTech 180 GR, but it will do it with S&B as well... As in your case, if I clean the crap out of it, then it works...for the first 50 rounds or so. Then the FTRB issues begin again..... I haven't bothered to send it back to Springfield (though I should have) so I keep it as my range gun only. I have a Rock Island TAC Ultra that eats everything (After replacing the slide stop with an Ed Brown) and runs with no issues...So its my EDC...

Agree 100% that at this price point this shouldn't be occurring. I even gave some thought to having the chamber reamed but it does pass the plunk test (however scientific that may be) so Ill wait for someone else to fight this battle.
