I have to disagree about Colt pricing. I think if you can find one at retail they are priced fairly compared to equivalent Smiths and Springfields. There is no lack of quality or features in the 2022 1911 Competition  I bought. It is a much better gun than the 2 1970s MKIV Series 70s I bought

Retirement/birthday present.
  Lookin at getting a Kimber 1911 Long Slide in 10mm unless I get talked into 45 ACP/45 Super. Wanted a 10mm And a long slide since AMT came out with the Javalina.
   For 50 yards and under for buck and boar anyone have a preference for 45 Super over a top power 10mm?

I'm looking to get a new Ruger SR1911 in 10mm. Would this be a good load to break it in? is the brass good for reloading?
