Hang around awhile,lots of great info.I also have a RIA 1911 A1 GI that will be at the dealer on mon. I hope I get one of the good ones but I don't expect it to be near as nice as my sig 220.

Pretty sure my sig 220 is a king also. I have put 600+ rounds thru it and not one malfunction of any kind. Over 2/3 of these have been stout handloads of various gr bullets. It may not hold as many rounds as some and be heavy but it rules in my opinion.

I recently purchased a mount plate from evolution gun works for my 220 hunter elite with the adjustable sight. I have installed it and it fits great. It will mount the burris,vortex or doctor red dot sights. I feel your aggravation in looking for the mount.
