Let me amend my statement. I haven't had any problems with the Vortex Venom, but I have gone back to iron sights. I just prefer not having to worry about a battery and at the distance I am shooting (under 50 yards) I didn't need the red dot.

It is a fantastic rig, unfortunately I found out I prefer belt carry.  I'm going to to put my Sportsmen's Chest Holster up for sale sometime soon.

I keep my 10mm under 50 yards on game, but I am only hunting with the stock open sights.  I might push it up to 75 yards for deer-sized and under animals with a red dot.

I have found the Underwood 180 XTP to be very accurate. Costly, but accurate.

I should have been more clear. I am looking for open sight recommendations.  I do have and use a Vortex Venom 3 moa, but I want to switch to straight open sights.

Any thoughts on the Benelli SuperNova?  I have been looking for a good pump and I am not a fan of the 500 and 870.

I believe I have bent or broken at least two impact bullet pullers before I realized less was more.

Any recommendations for a good adjustable sight for the Glock G40?  Mine is strictly a hunting gun out to 50 yards, so I need something that is fine enough for accurate hits.

I have not solid reason why, I just prefer the 10mm.

I love the 10mm.  There is nothing in AZ that I am apt to come across that it can't handle.
