Anyone upgrade their Colt DE with an extended beavertail? How did it turn out? What brand beavertail did you use? Any other modification required beside filing edge of the frame? Please add pictures if possible of outcome. Thanks

Thanks for the help, it was indeed the extractor out of tolerance. I followed the guide sqlbullet provided to make the adjustment and was able to run 120rnds no issues. Thanks again for the help.

Hello all,

I recently picked up a used DE for a smoking deal ($700 complete gun, 500rnds and holster) the gun does not have many rounds through it maybe 100rnds. I took it to the range this weekend and experienced few problems, i tried 3 different types of ammo, AE, PPU, and Sig and all had the same problems. It seems like the slide was short cycling and not going all the way to the back to eject the spent shell out, the spent shell would get caught stuck between the slide and the top of the barrel (sorry forgot to take pics as i was focused on the problem) and a new round would be starting to load in to the chamber. I am new to the 1911 world (i own mostly CZs and Sigs) and definitely new to the 10mm world. Am I doing something wrong (no limp wrist for sure  i shoot the crap out of 97bd)?? Do i need new recoil springs? any help would be greatly appropriated. Thanks in advance.
