Just curious if you are moving to something else or done with 10's?
Sort of both for the moment... sort of. Apologies in advance if this ends up as TMI. :-)
I've carried a 10mm for the past several years and have been an open advocate on various forums - my love for the chambering stemmed largely from my happiness with it for carry and the awesome ballistic performance the best ammo displayed.
My past couple of range trips were unsettling, though, as I had a much harder time controlling the potent stuff. Add to that that my last trip left my strong hand bruised and hurting for several days after! Color me shocked and sad :-(
I had some unexpected bills to pay about the same time so I decided to sell a couple of my 10mm Glocks and, in the process, realized how unhappy I have grown with the platform in general so I sold them all. I love Glocks for what they are but unfortunately they do not suit me as well as I feel they should. I finally decided I needed something that fit my hand better - enough trying to contort my hand to fit and adapting to a trigger that is like nothing else! LOL
I am gravitating to 9mm right now and I've switched to an all steel platform - I've started with a CZ 75BD... this thing feels like it melts into my hand and it has the perfect trigger reach for my long fingers. I do hope to get back into 10's at some point, though, if for no other reason than woods carry and pure love of it. I am going to keep my eyes open for a good steel-framed 10mm... I am checking out EAA's as I find them but I am secretly hoping for a CZ 97-ish pistol in 10mm with a decocker, should that materialize. *fingers crossed*
