The 357 mag and 10mm are two of my favorite cartridges...
For years my go to for SD carry and woods carry was a Security Six with 158gr GD for wooda carry and for street carry I switched to Remington 125gr SJHP ...

Now I carry a 29 or 20 with UW 200gr XTP in woods and UW 180gr GD for street ... Main reaso I switched.. Was higher capacity, larger frontal area .400 vs .358 and I have found my Glocks completely realiable just like my revolvers....
While stomping in tbe woods , 2 legged predators most likely would out number 4 legged ...

Im a Charter fan , my first Charter I purchased was just over 30 yrs ago  .. I own 3 Charters at this time .. 2 Alumium framed 38spl & a Bulldog in 44spl ....
Over the past few years they have built 9mm & 40 S&W both built on the steel Bulldog frame and then a slightly larger framed revolver in 45acp , 45 Colt & 41 mag

Im really considering the 41 Mag model , for self defense carry ... It has a 2.5 inch barrel and only weighs 23 oz ... By far the smallest 41 mag ever produced...

I at one time considered geeting a custom GP100 built ... But never got around to it ... at that time I had several projects going at once... Now that Ruger has a GP100 in 100mm in production... Im broke as a convict ....I only use gun money for guns ... And I don't really have anything I want to sell ...but if I run in to a bit of extra money .. I will own a 3inch barreled GP100 in 10mm

Only changes I made to my 20SF ,is steel three dot sights & 22lb RSA ,,, seems to run fine with both Underwood and lower pressure ammo..

As others have mentioned.. I feel that Glock , helped keep the 10mm alive .. With the 20 & 29 ,,, which I own both ...Also ammo manufacturers like Underwood that load the 10mm to its full potential..
The 10mm is a fine cartdridge... And so many others are finally figured it out ..

I really like my 1095TS .. I ran some 200gr PMC TMJ through it last night ... @ 50yds .. It hit where I aimed ... Im hoping to get a ground hog with it this weekend...

Im just checking if someone has  velocity test results on the above mentioned ammo .. It is listed as 1050FPS

Id say recoil would be magabanageable... The GP100 is a hefty firearm !
