Yes. My P40 still drops mag now and then when firing hot loads. Been back twice for repair work. Could never trust it for a carry gun. Carry my tried and true S&W 1076.

Anyone know when the Extar SBR 10's will be shipping?

It appears Intercooler has a different recoil spring in his P40 than mine. I believe Grand power is still playing with this combo trying to get it right.

Wish mine ran that well.

My only failures to cycle have come with cheap range ammo with 40 s&w level velocities. I'm thinking the factory spring is a bit much for the weak rounds.

Only issue I have is with one of my 4 mags . It fails to lock the slide open on last round.

As for the S&W 1076, I had a brand  new one back when they were first released back in the 90's. I really hate that S&W safety located right on the slide where you grip it to chamber a round. The other thing I hated about S&W pistols is that magazine disconnector they have that disables the trigger if there is not a magazine inserted in the magazine well. If you are in the middle of a shooting incident and tactically drop your empty magazine with the last round in the chamber (as a safety measure so that you can still fire off a round if the situation called for it) while ejecting the empty magazine to conduct a combat reload, you can't fire that chambered round until a magazine is inserted. I don't currently own any S&W pistols because of those two reasons.   

Doesn't the 1076 have Decocker on the left side of frame by grip panel? 1066 has slide safety Decocker. Magazine out trigger disconnect common to both...except FBI specific duty guns.They will have the factory slide stencil stating "Caution will fire with magazine removed."

I'm amazed at the accuracy of this pistol right out of the box. 2 inch groups all day off hand with no bench rest at 30 feet.

Got my P40 out to the range today. 200 rounds through it. 2 failure to feeds towards the end of the session. The gun was rather dirty , not sure if that was the reason or I limp wristed it. Other than that, it ran excellent. All the ammo I shot was 1200 + fps. 180 grainers.

Those are the SA  only ones. I'm looking for the DA/SA.
