I get good accuracy with the Montana hard cast in both my glock 40 and my ruger sr1911 using longshot powder.

My glock 40 likes 200 gr Montana  hard cast with longshot powder. 1200 fps should be no problem.

8.0 grs longshot gets me 1210fps with a 200gr wfn bullet out of my Ruger 1911

I've had good luck with 200gr hard cast bullets and 8.0 grs longshot. But like said start 10% lower and work up. That load for me gets around 1200fps.

Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: Blue Dot max?

I'm loading 10.5 grs blue dot with hornady 180xtp using magnum primers. Out of my Ruger 1911 I'm getting 1300 fps. Seems fast but I don't have any reason to question my chronograph.

I have one and love it.
Love the grips. Very nice.
I just tested some 200 gr. Montana wfn bullets with 8.0 grs longshot. Very accurate and 1210fps.

I second the 10.4 grs blue dot.
Over 1300fps from my Glock model 40.

I've been loading 10mm for years. My Glock model 40 and my Ruger SR1911 both like 180gr xtp bullets with 10.4 grs of blue dot as well as 200 gr wfn cast bullets with 8.0 grs longshot.

I have that exact pistol and load 10.5 grs blue dot with the 180xtp and get 1330 fps. Very accurate.

I reload 10mm for a Glock model 40 and a Ruger SR1911. 10.5 grs of blue dot with 180 gr xtp bullet get me 1330fps and excellent accuracy. Good luck and be careful.

Does anybody have any experience with hunting whitetail deer with the 10mm and 180 xtp bullet?
