Midway has some, but I skipped over them. I have 165 Gold Dots from Underwood in my Big Sig. The Silvertips perform very well to be such an old design  I just was not ready to pay $28 for 20 rounds.

I was just in my local Cabela's and found Silvertips sitting on the shelf (which I've never seen before) for $17. There were only 3 boxes so I took all 3 at that price.

Thanks for the advice. Is that a problem typical with UW and 1911s, or with UW and RIA 1911s specifically?

My name is Jamie, I am 35 and I live in Kansas City, KS. I enjoy firearms in general but have a particular penchant for handguns and have a love affair with the .45 (both acp and long colt). I had read a few comments from some people in a general gun discussion thread on a football board I frequent and started looking into it. Once I read the history of the round and saw that the round was too punishing for the limp wristed accountants at the Bureau , I knew I HAD to have one. A few days before the election I was in Cabela's to grab some ammo in case things went sideways election night and decided I might as well look and see what they had in the counter. I ended up walking out with a RIA Tac Ultra FS. After doing some research on ammo and finding this site I ordered a bunch of rounds from Underwood. I'll have my first opportunity to shoot it this Wednesday when I get to my parents place down in Texas. And Wednesday cannot get here fast enough.
