I use Winchester 231, 5.3 grains under a my cast 230 grain. It's been spot on from my and G36, both Glocks sport Lonewolf barrels.

2 gen 3 G20SF's and a gen 3 G29SF that eats everything from factory loads to my reloads with out so much as a hiccup.

Buff7mm, I think ntgunter3 is referring to the uncommon practice of firing .40 S&W from G20s with their stock barrel, and is asking if a LW 10mm barrel can still do that.

ntgunter3, you might send an email to Jeremy S.  He may be able to advise you on that...

However, firing the wrong caliber is never advisable, even it it has been done "safely" by someone else in their gun...
Roger that.
But why would a person risk screwing up a good gun for the just over $100 it would cost for the 40 barrel, I never could understand some peoples thinking when it comes to things like that.

If you put an aftermarket 40 S&W barrel in it it should run just like a purpose built 40 S&W, I actually run a Lone wolf 357 Sig barrel and a 10mm in my G20 gen3, a Jarvis .45ACP in my G21 gen3, a storm lake 10mm in the G29 gen3, and a Lone wolf 9mm in my G17 gen4. I find Lone Wolf barrels to be very accurate and I've parked all my factory barrels and replaced them with aftermarket barrels since I handload and like shooting cast bullets.

For sale / Re: LW barrel

I saw this when you first put it up for sale and if I hadn't just bought one just after Christmas I'd have been all over it. Wish it was 357 sig for a G29   Hope it sells.

I wrote LWD the other day and their response was that they are switching over to the Alpha Wolf barrels...
The reason I wrote was I was looking for a 6.02" 357Sig barrel for my G-20

QuoteWe have closed the Lone Wolf line to introduce the Alpha Wolf line. We will be getting more of those 6.02" barrels in stock in the future but they are unavailable at this time. It could be a couple months until we have them again.
Yep, see my first post, I too contacted them and got the same response.
I might just buy a G32 and  let it at that.

Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: 10mm reloading dilemma

My sweet spot with 180's and Bluedot has been 10.0 grains from both my G20&29 both.

Want to buy / WTB 357 Sig barrel

Anybody know where I can lay my hands on a standard length Lone Wolf 357 Sig barrel for my G29?
I've scoured the web and these things are like hens teeth. I emailed LW and was told they are bringing it back in their Alpha Wolf line in a few months but I've heard that before and I hate to wait because we all know that a couple of months can turn into 8-10 months

With what I have perused on the internet I decided I want a .357 Sig barrel before the 9x25. Of course, it will be awhile before I get any additional barrels for my G29.  It took decades before I bought a 10mm. :)

I received an email from Lone Wolf yesterday and I was told that they are bringing back the stock length 357 barrel for the G29 but in their Alpha Wolf line and it's a few months away from introduction.  They still have a ported version available for it in the regular line. So if you want a stock length they should be on their way soon.

Pass-Through sizing reaches the areas not touched by conventional dies/shell holders or shell plates.  I pass through size using the LEE FCD with the guts removed and a bullet sizing push pin.  Greatly improves feeding and function.  See link posted above...

I do all 10mm / 40S&W / 357Sig / 9x25 Dillon with the 10mm/40S&W FCD.  I also do 45ACP and 380ACP with their appropriate FCD dies, 9mm takes a different FCD to perform a Pass-Through using a 9x18mm (9mm Makarov) FCD to perform that pass through...
I'm curious as to the makarov die need to do the 9x19, i do use the 40 FCD for all stated above tho and should probably buy the setup to do the 9's just in case.

Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: Glock Brass ?????
January 16 2017 11:39:45 AM MST
When you resize it the sizing die should take any bulge from the brass left behind from the Glock bulge/smile. I keep my brass separate for my bolt guns but everything else gets whatever I've got sitting around for it.

My G20 likes the Sierra 180 and Longshot. Im wondering if that bullet is safe/effective to use on whitetail or similar sized hogs. I havent chron'ed  the load but the same charge w/ 180XP was a bit over 1330. I just wonder  if the bullets too soft at that velocity. MD requires 700 FPE.
Don't forget the 6 inch barrel requirement also.
Those numbers you gave are over the muzzle energy requirement, but not by much.
Mass:180(gr)
Velocity:1330(fps)
Energy:707(ft.lbf)

From looking in my book to get those 180's anywhere near 1300fps with Longshot you've got to be well over max published load. Max is showing 8.2 grains@1150fps.
Not saying it's not possible to get there but I'd try other powders to push it out that far. Good luck with your quest and the quagmire of Maryland's BS?

Factory 10mm ammo / Re: Anyone see this?
December 29 2016 02:54:51 PM MST
I'm not seeing the draw to these, I'd rather have one open up to around twice its diameter and expend its energy in the body cavity. No way would I ever consider these for a defensive or hunting round unless I was trying to shoot through several targets at once. Just my thoughts, which don't mean a lot. :D

I guess I got lucky a few weeks ago with a G29SF gen3 NIB for $480+shipping.
I'd love to snag a G40 but I'll have to stew on that for a few months.

OMG that's a deal!  I paid $515 +tax for my 29sf.
I just stumbled on the auction by accident with about 1 day left, Max bid of $500 placed and I didn't figure I'd even get it for that, but nobody else bid and bingo.

I was only referring to 10mm ammunition. Plenty of gun deals to be had still. In that respect I LOVE GUNBROKER.

But Armscor and PPU and the like for $26/box?

Oops, didn't realize you were alking ammo, I reload it so all is good on that end. I did pick up some really nice once fired mixed head space cases off Gunbroker for what I thought was a decent price, stuff looked brand new.
