180 xtp will make 1360+ with 11.5 gr Blue dot in a lone wolf 6.6" bbl. (1.250 Coal)

He most certainly has a gun problem. I've run loads up to 900+ lbs muzzle energy out of my bone stock 20 with 17lb recoil spring with no brass bulging.

11gr blue dot with a mag primer will get that 180gr gold dot to 1400 fps with 5" bbl. Of course it over expands and fails at those speeds.

Just an update, tried 5 different powders. The best load thus far has been;

CCI magnum primer
New star line brass
9.2 gr Power Pistol

That load turned back 1420 fps through my Glock 40 MOS.

The previous load of blue dot only got 1240 fps through the same gun.

I used 11.5 gr blue dot and got mid 1200s. I use the load for my carry ammo. I'm sure you could use a little more, Although I'm not sure it would fit.
