OK - sight received and all looked great. I got the little disk installed, put a little red Loctite on the slide and slid the sight on. I then went to put in the lock screw (could they have made it any smaller!) and realized it wasn't going in. After doing more digging (CZ site I believe) I realized that the set screw goes UNDER the sight! Damn!

Good news is when I called them they sent me a new sight at 1/2 price since there was no instructions on that.

I guess we'll see if the sight stays on as is with just the red Loctite - but if it does fly off I have a replacement ready - with the set screw already installed!

I will say this - the sight does look awesome.

Cheers!

Much appreciated all! May try Blue Loctite as Red does scare me a bit.
Sounds like the set screws are really not a problem.
Does the .150 H x  .115 W sound like a good choice?

PS - Intercooler - that is a great family pic!

Santa brought me a Witness Match Elite to keep my Full Size Wonder Finish company. While I love the gun - my old eyes need some help (plus healing from detached retina surgery!) with the plain black sights. I see both the Dawson and Henning sights out there. While the Dawson is less $, it seems they have issues with the included screws - but the sizes they offer are closer to stock sight (looking at .150 H x  .115 W). It seems both are easy to install - but the easier the better.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
Cheers!

Thank you sir!
Love the site - a wealth of information. I'll most likely do more learning than contributing - but you have to start somewhere. :D

Very nice! I feel much better about it now and in the future when it does need refinishing.
I am getting ready to test the 18# spring as the 20# is just too much to rack the slide (I'm 6'5" and 250lbs and can hardly do it). None of my buddies can even budge it. Maybe need a few more rounds through it.
BTW love the sql handle. I'm a software engineer and definitely can relate.

I was almost afraid you were going to ask - but here it goes!
After hours of research and holding a number of them, I knew I needed more than 8 rounds and didn't want to break the bank and I just don't like Glocks. Sight-unseen (the first time I have ever done it) I ordered the Full-Size steel wonder finish (I can hear the boos now!). I figured for $530 out the door it would be worth it - and is it!
They must have made changes as all the horror stories I have heard seem to have been addressed. The slide is different (tapered at the front of the ejection port), the guide-rod is wide and flat (similar to the Henning) and has a red-dot (mark) on the front sight (as opposed to what I heard was plain black). It did shoot low out of the box, but as I'm messing around with the Wolff springs it is dead-on with the 20#. 200 rounds in and 200 rounds out - no issues whatsoever.
What is also funny is all my shooting buddies have never seen one before and absolutely LOVE the wonder finish!
Go figure.

What a great website!
I'm Jeff from the Charlotte NC area and am not only new to this site but the 10mm world as well. Picked up my first for Birthday/Xmas in December and now believe I'm hooked. I'll leave feedback on my EAA in the appropriate place, but you all are a wealth of knowledge and I really enjoy all the information here.
