Got all of the functional components for the Glock 29L finished yesterday and took it to the range.  Here's the video

I use a 20lb spring for most ammo, and the 15lb spring for weak factory ammo.  I got some old Federal Hydra-shock for cheap, and with the 20lb spring, the brass would barely fall out the ejection port lol

Here's the final version of my Glock 20L project

It's for sale if anyone is interested.  Working on a different custom build to replace it already  :D

6.61" Lone Wolf Barrel
Stainless Lone Wolf Long Slide
Lone Wolf Threaded Compensator
Burris Fast Fire Red Dot
Pro Pick Trigger Kit (installed minus striker spring)
15lb Recoil Spring on Stainless Guide Rod
2 - 15rnd OEM Glock 10mm Magazines
Arredondo +5 Mag extension

Best pistol I have ever owned; a rugged work horse that shoots like a race gun. It shoots standard over the counter low powered 10mm ammo with almost no felt recoil. And handles high powered boutique and handloaded ammo like it's nothing. Accurate enough to consistently make 100yd shots.

Haven't had a chance to crono that load.  Really want to though.  I have a feeling, at that close distance, the projective is going a little faster than Nosler recommends :)

Tossed the jacket, so no way to get a weight.  I've been thinking of doing some more experimenting to try and recover all of the bullet fragments.

Here's a video shooting a pumpkin with one of my nuclear loads with the 200gr Nosler JHP.  Not happy with the recovered projectile.  Gonna do some more testing, but I'll most likely be switching to Hornadt XPT

I've only been firing it from my Lonewolf barrel.  No case buldges

And it is accurate as hell

Also, note that I didn't mean to post pics of my Glock in this thread.  Just not used to this forum software yet  :P

Finally got a max load worked up using 200gr Nosler JHP, 11gr Blue Dot, 1.26" OAL, CCI Standard Large Pistol Primers, and 3/4 crimp.  Did an identical load with a full 1 turn crimp, and the primers were coming out flattened.  Now I just need to get my hands on a chrono to see what kind of velocity it's pushing out of the 6.5" barrel.

That finish is called Hardwood Cammo Matte from Lone Wolf

Didn't like it all that much at first (looks different than the sample pics on their site), but it has really grown on me.

Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: Crimping Issue
July 28 2012 12:06:50 PM MDT
From what I hear Hornady Dies aren't worth the money.  I've had zero issues reloading with Lee dies for 10mm, .308, and .243

I wish the floating bullet seating stem didn't put rings on the top of my bullets but guess I'll have to live with rings on top of my bullets. :'(

I had the same issues using a seating/crimping die.  It deformed my HPs, gave inconsistent OAL, took excessive force to operate, and on occasion would buckle brass.  Got tired of it, and started seating and crimping in different steps with different dies.  No more issues

I'm gonna give 200gr Nolser HPs a try this year.  With such a heavy bullet, I should be able to load them pretty hot ans still be in the sweet spot for expansion
