No just the DA/SA version. The SAO versions where available to all Sig dealers. I have seen both versions locally.

Local store sold quite a few of all three versions.....they haven't had any in quite a while. Made me wonder when I didn't see the 10mm listed on the SIG website any longer. I'll have to ask what's up at the local dealers next time I'm there.

No it ain't a 10mm but I really like 38 Super. LW Colt XSE Commander and a full size Colt Government Model pimp pistol. :P Bright stainless, a lot of jeweled parts and soon, ivory grips. I need to look for an old Caddy with wide white walls.  8)

SIG P220
The others.

To carry everyday....Glock 29?

I notice the 10mm isn't mentioned on SIG's website. Under specs on P220s they only show 45 acp as caliber. Were they only made as a Lipsey's exclusive?

10mm revolvers / Re: It's Here!

And S&W only makes the 41 Mag available as one model in their 'Classics' line. As you probably know the Classics line up changes from year to year.

I'd think lack of sales ended the 610 but maybe today there 'might' be enough interest to add it to the Classics series for a year? They may still see it as a 'niche' revolver and feel the need to keep production in the more profitable M&P series and smaller concealed carry type revolvers.

To the OP, sorry for the thread drift. Very nicely done firearm you have....you should be very proud to own it.

Spray & pray..........Recon by fire. About the same thing other than one gets to wear a uniform for the latter.  :)

Except for your last sentence I'd tend to agree with most of your post. Doubt you can dilute the level after I've been here first.  :))

Btw: Welcome to the site. Do you also post on the GA OT site? Your 'handle' seems familiar.

I had to look and think because I relaod too.  In fact I was a little surprised at how well 45 acp stacked up.  Guess io have read too many Elmer Keith loads.

The thinking part always gets me..... :))
Yeah, after Elmer , Skeeter and Taffin I had to have a Smith Model 24.

Ammo in 45 ACP is generally more readily available locally than 44 special loads, and there tends to be more variety.  Also, for a given bullet weight, 45 ACP +P will be faster than 44 special by about 100 fps.  I don't know the OP's reasons, but those would be the pro's in my mind.

Oops.....since I reload I seldom think about ammunition availability.

Capt O: Should be an interesting revolver. A Bulldog 44 has been my primary carry piece for several years. Got both hammers and carry it in a Simple Rugged silver dollar pancake holster.

Just curious, but what's the real world gain over the Bulldog in 44 Spl.? Other than the obvious .01 in.

More of a blurb for Sigs P220. It'd be interesting to know their sales figures since the model came out. A local gun store ( they also do internet sales) has been selling all they can get of the new Sig models. I have no idea the ratio of local to internet sales although I bought one.  8)

Okay, if I can remember how. Forgot to mention the chamber support for the cartridge is exceptional, even the area where the feed ramp blends into the chamber.

One of the Sig and one of the 'family'.

These have been covered a few times but thought I'd add my minor contribution. Very impressed with the pistol, easiest pistol I own to field strip. I can see why military and law enforcement groups have used Sigs. With the weight of the pistol recoil is very mild as one would expect. No problems at all with feeding or extraction with range fodder or some of my hand loads. The recoil spring is pretty stout...takes some effort for me to rack the slide, but I am getting old.  :) The spring itself is a twisted pair formed into a coil spring. Different, at least to me. The chamber measured 0.429 tapering to 0.425-6. Somewhat surprised that the barrel slugged at 0.401.

Pretty handgun, as I like wood and steel. Grips fit my hand as well as the 1911s I usually prefer. Other versions not in SA only, if preferred, and the price isn't too much different than a Colt Delta.

Oh yeah,    MERRY CHRISTMAS

Purchased a few years back as new, old stock from a Florida distributor. Fired one box of weak Atlanta Arms range ammo and put it in the safe. Have box with cleaning tools and documents. Also includes a palm swell grip, Hoage grip, and Wolf extra power spring....all unused.

Price is my cost to ship to your FFL. I'm in central GA. Payment preference in US Postal money order. PM any questions. Thanks.
